Your question just made me make a new playlist, here are some of the ones I like for working out in martial arts.

Rock/Metal:
Soulfly - Eye for an Eye, Seek 'n' Strike, Terrorist, Bring it, Fly High, Pain
Soundgarden - Rusty Cage
Slayer - Angel of Death
SOAD – I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Innervision
Pantera - almost the entire "Vulgar Display of Power" album (classic work out album). Also these songs from other albums - I'm Broken, Living Through Me, & Domination.
Rage Against the Machine – Vietnow, Snake Charmer, Tire Me, Year of the Boomerang, Know Your Enemy, Renegades of Funk
Unida – Black Woman
Metallica – The Four Horsemen, Metal Militia, Disposable Heroes, The Prince, Trapped Under Ice, Dyers Eve, Blackened

Alternative (but good work to out to):
Prodigy - Smack My B*tch Up
Ministry – Thieves
The Mars Volta – Intertiatic E.S.P.

Hip Hop:
Jurassic 5 - A Day At The Races (an absolute must have for working on your striking speed!), High Fidelity
Ice Cube – Wicked
Wu-Tang Clan – Triumph, Hellz Wind Staff, Severe Punishment
Wyclef Jean – Year of The Dragon, Street Jeopardy, Staying Alive

This song is good for concentrating by yourself on techniques, its tribal sounding - Soulfly - Soulfly II

These songs get my blood pumpin’ and tend to push me, I take Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts (Kali), Jeet Kune Do, and Jiu Jitsu…Hope you dig the tunes like I do!

With proper focus you wouldn't even know what song was on. I tune out outside distractions like people talking, music, traffic noise, etc. to concentrate on the technique. In kata, the movements don't adhere to any rhythm, the techniques ebb and flow and explode, so it is useless to me to have music on. In kumite it is the same, and if I let myself be lulled into a predictable rhythm I would lose quickly.

If I'm just running or doing weights then I like some music to break up the monotony. Then I pull out the Rob Zombie, Metallica, Sabbath, Motorhead....

My favorite work-out tune is "Enter Sandman", by Metallica, it always gets me motivated and pumped up to work out.

Here are some other great ones:

"Iron Man" by Black Sabbath
"Run to the Hills" Iron Maiden
"Highway Star" Deep Purple
"Bark at the Moon" Ozzy Osborne
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" Nirvana

also anything by Godsmack!

Basically (somewhat hard) rock can be great. But when you need precision and concentration, nothing is better than some soft classical music like for example Pachebel Canon or some Bach!
