Zidane knew that France were goingt to lose and this was his last game, so he decided to exit in a way that everyone would remember and so that everyone would talk about what he did instead of the victory of italy... Zidane went out with a real bang! So he will be remembered forever for what he did to materazzi and perhaps he hopes that the blame will fall on this so the rest of his team mates don;t get so much of a hard time....

what he did tonight was THE worst act of thuggery- Zizou will be remembred as a shell of a man, a LOSER of a man.
He should have not have been allowed on the podium.

This is going to be my last entry for the World Cup, but as an outsider, an American, I think that the best two teams did not play the final. Italy was the best of the two finalists, but in my eyes (and heart) two teams were the magicians -- ARGENTINA and immediately behind them, PORTUGAL and then ITALY then GERMANY. Those are the FOUR teams of the turnament for me. I shall look out for them in future championships. Which were your for teams of the turnament ? Please some of you don't come with who are cheats and who weren't. SKILL-wise, who were your four ? Thanx.

i dont know wat happened. but i think the referee`s decision to give him a straight red card was a good one. there was no excuse and its a shame zidane ended his career with a red card.

btw, did zidane get a medal? coz he didnt go up there to the stage to get one. just wondering.

They played like wussies.
They pretended to be *seriously* injured all the time.
They just suck at this game and they won.

The ONLY reason why they won was because Buffoon (yes i spelt it like this on purpose) got to shield that goal made by Zidane.

If France had Zidane,Henry, and Vierra in the Penalty kicks do you think they would of win?

And what do the fans get when their team win? $?

And personaly, i think France was the better team. But they just needed more luck then Italy.

Well, I just feel we should'nt pass judgement on Zidane without knowing the facts of what went on b/n him and the Italian guy...I think we should keep in mind that football is the kind of game that emotions run high and they can easily get out of hand, and a player should'nt be judged too harshly on a stray incident like that.

Just wondering if you feel the same way.
