I'm french and think that the french should've won i mean they hardly had any of their good players out there in the overtime and the shootouts yet still did really good.
As for the whole Zidane headbutt thing, i totally agree that it was insane and i can't believe he would do something like that especially because he is such a classy player usually.
But none of us know what the other guy said or did, we shouldn't be judging Zidane that fast. Also, although yeah.. it's Zidane's fault he headbutted him but i think it's more sad. This is Zidane's last professional game and he is such an incredible player (whether or not you like him... he is talented) and he is usualy such a classy player now he has to leave with something making him seen as a bad and disrespectful player

Even though Im Brazilian and France beat Brazil, France should have won because they only have I world cup win (I think that's right) and that would give a better chance to Brazil, now Italy is at Germany's level and is catching up to Brazil

Give me a break... how can you say that france was the better team..??
first off if you are true to yourself and saw the france portugal game would you say that france really deserved to win that game?? France was pathetic that game and did not deserve to advance... Portugal out played them and it showed by every single statistic taken.... . but they still did...
so you really think that france deserved to win the Italy game too. then your a hypocrate..
further more france scored both goals against portugal and Italy on a penalty kick.. cheap cheap ... i say if one team scores on a penalty kick and the other scores a real goal (on a real life game playing situation where there are real defenders playing against the scorer).. then the team that scores the real goal should win over a cheap penalty kick..
finally ... player per player italy has the best team as voted by the fifa allstar team with 7 players from italy on the dream team as opposed to 4 players from the next closest team...
Italy won. so keep crying about it you sore loosers..

I was rooting for france. I think Italy dominated the first half, and france most of the second and OT. However, I was thinking that it was karma that Italy won. Zidane head butted a dude, he kinda deserved to lose for that, and I am a huge Zidane fan. He is one of the best players of our generation!!! Hope he doesnt get remembered only for the headbut and the loss....

i do! i hate to see a game end like that. france dominated play most of that game and to lose in pks and without henry, zidane, viera, ribery, its very unfortunate. and trezeguet missing by less than an inch sucks. italy had a lot of luck on their side in a few of this years games (think usa, think australia, think today), although u cant deny they still won it all. very good world cup all around though, time to get on with life. lol
zidane is still one of the best players to ever play the game

France deserved it. They played better the last part of the game. They were just unlucky and their shots didn't go in. They only lost beczue Zidane was thrown out.

France sucks OK? they don't play clean fouling like crazy they didn't deserve to win. I'm not saying that because I support Italy I'm saying that cause it's the truth.

I tally agrre with you ... France SHOULD have won .. they played GREAT ! no offence Italy did play well ... but You Italians have to admit if Zidane,Henry or Vierra was in the penaly shoot France WOULD HAVE WON .. But anyway Italy won and we cant change that ... Lets wait for 2010 ... But really wont you guys say ZIDANE DOES HAVE A HARD HEAD LOL !
