what he did tonight was THE worst act of thuggery- Zizou will be remembred as a shell of a man, a LOSER of a man.
He should have not have been allowed on the podium.

Yes, any act of agression intended to hurt another should be expelled. For life, maybe not, but for more than three or four games or peraps for the next world cup. Thank god he retired. This is the idiots 3rd time (and I repreat 3rd time) he has made and act like this in the last 8 years. FORZA ITALIA!!!!! BUON FORTUNATO CANNAVARO IL NAPOLITANO!!!!

the guy deserved what he got. he was taunting zizou and zizou was tired of the italians ****. so he headbutted him. de rossi should be banned for life before zenadine. because of his shocking and disgusting foul on mcbride during the US:ITALY game. i was sickenned by the italians playing style during this world cup. italy did not deserve to get out of the first round. they should all go get jobs in hollywood as actors.

Respect him jerk! yea his emotions got the better of him...BUT he is still one of the best to EVER step on the pitch! There was no hard feeling before this so that should not make him a LOSER of a man...

i hope he is happy with his career and has a great retirement

It is a bit harsh to describe him as such, but he was wrong for the act displayed on the field. When egos and tempers are flaring it is a bit hard to exercise control in such situations.

It doesn't matter he is done with soccer now he is retiring, but no because it was one thing during anger and shouldn't define his career.

He deserved the card, but that shouldn't over shadow his whole career.
