Football (American) - April 2007

Many professional sports leagues such as MLB, NBA, and the NHL at one time or another allowed players to play right after high school except the NFL which drafts players from college.

I was wondering why the NFL does not draft players straight out of high school when other professional leagues draft prospects right out of high school?

i posted that question and cannot beleive the fascist crap answers i got.what the hell is wrong with you people?you have the right to your opinions, but the rules got to go.if you score a touchdown aganist a friend, youre celebrating like crazy in your yard.p.s.little kids know adults fight sometimes.this is not new.shame on espn for reporting every temper tantrum that goes on."2 23 yr old guys fought outside a bar.president bush to hold live press conference about the matter".is that what you idiots want to see.
nfl is a physical contact sport therefore sometimes tempers flare.its called being human!!this is not the late 80's and early 90's anymore where players are getting into 20 fights every sunday.todays players do everything they can to be as professional as they can.
occasionally a player does committ a serious crime and when he does,he deserves the repercussions of his actions.but for the most part todays players dont do that.

Is a sports stadium owned by the owner of the team? or the city? like the oakland raiders and oakland A's the teams have different owners but share the stadium! i thought the stadium would have a seperate owner than the team but someone told me that the owner of the team has rights while they use it ... is that true?

the players arent allowed to have any fun without being fined.they run back to the huddle after scoring touchdowns.thats bullshit.these anti taunting rules have got to go.furthermore, espn needs to quit reporting every little fistfight that goes on and making huge situations out of miniscule crap.players make too much money but thats a seperate issue.how would you like it if your boss at your job wrote you a fine over a fight you had outside some bar?

had to start this one, everyone is talking about JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn. Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson will both be better NFL players though. Here's why. Both are positions to make immediate success in the NFL. Peterson is a hard runner with speed and agility. Calvin Johnson might be the best athlete in any sport ever. He ran a 4.3, is 6'4", has amazing coordination, and is clean off the field. What you guys think?

I think that Brady Quinn will go first in the 2007 NFL Draft because he had Charlie Weis as a coach at the University of Notre Dame. Charlie Weis was the Offensive Coordinator for the New england Pats. Brady Quinn has an Understanding of an NFL type Offense. We all know he doesnt have a bigger arm than JaMarcus Russell but he makes better desicions in Pressure Situations. LSU might have won the Sugar Bowl but Brady Quinn still had a pretty good performance with 2 td's and 1 int, and he had a total of 35 touchdowns and 5 ints in 06. Another reason is that he had a great game with the comeback win over Michigan State after being down 19 points in the fisrt few minutes of the game.

I think Russell will have the better career because he has more potential than Quinn and he has the ability to put up big numbers.
