Why would they draft a QB on their first pick when they clearly need defensive help.

Sorry Raider Nation, but a black QB is not the answer. I predict Russell will be out of the league in 3 years.

Free Agency, Trades & The Draft... whose win the Superbowl this year? Honestly & Non-Biasly...

Adalius Thomas, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker, Kelly Washington, Tom Brady, Richard Seymour, Tedy Bruschi, THE ENTIRE OFFENSIVE LINE, Tory James, Asante Samuel(maybe) Rodney Harrison, Junior Seau, Laurence Maroney, Sammy Morris, Ben Watson, Troy Brown and RANDY F'N MOSS... add those guys on top of what Bill Belicheck does consistently with SOOO much less as a coach... what do you expect to see out of the Patriots this year and this team is as close as a team talent-wise as a Pre-Salary cap era NFL team?

Considering all the A+ talent the Patriots have acquired in this offseason... anything less then winning the Superbowl this year would be a very big disappointment for New England... do you agree?

I think it will be Jimmy Clausen

If they had picked him instead of Rice, people would be talking about how well the Vikings did, not the Panthers!

18 is taken by Stallworth, and 84 & 88 (his college number) are both taken (but not by "elite" players) also. Just wanted to know what others thought or if anyone had heard...

As a Louisville fan who watched him play quite a bit, you got a fantastic player. He's big and fast, and can catch out of the backfield. You might have mailed Louisville the NC had he not gotten hurt. His plus side is impressive and his attitude is top notch. Curious about your thoughts...

I know it's a tal show and the whole point of it is to boost ratings and get people to listen and react positively or negatively, but compared to Mike Golic on Mike and Mike, Greenberg is so agregious and obnoxious with his various opinions.

It's clear to me he's a very insecure and threatened little man, based on the things he says and the way in which he says them, but when Golic comments on various subjects he's not as obnoxious about it.

I'm specifically referencing his love for his NY Jets, which personally I hate that joke of a team, but he's entitled to root for whomever he wants, but what I have a problem with is his constant prostelization of them and how he's constantantly exploiting and taking advantage of his position as a talk show host, in order to pathetically try and undermine my Patriots team, just because he has a mic.

I want to twll him to just shut up and keep some of his opinions to himself. We all know where he stands on the issue, so enough already!

I mean they don't even have a decent quarterback yet... and you need a good quarterback for a wide reciever to save you....

Everyone the Pats got is one a year deal, stallworth, washington, james now moss. It will take at least a year for this team to jell and even though moss is happy now he wont sign a long term deal with the pats for the kind of money(3.2mill). All bellicheck has done is given the pats one chance to win the superbowl this year before the teams is dismantled. Two years from now brady will be throwing to chad Jackson and a 44 year old troy brown. Yea the Pats will be good this year, maybe not SB good, but theve only got one shot to do it. What do you think?

as a Dolphin fan....

Even if they didn't want Brady Quinn which is perfectly fine with me.......taking Ted Ginn...at 9th overall?
Cam even said it....he's a PUNT/KICK RETURNER
and they're spending 9th overall money on him

I've been saying all summer that the team that takes Ginn will regret it...because he's not even a half decent NFL wide reciever

I know i don't know as much as NFL scouts/decision makers....but this doesn't make any sense to me

does anybody have any good reason why Ted Ginn (who won't be able to run around everybody in the NFL like he did in college) was worth that pick?
