He really isnt as good of a QB as he is made out to be and no team really needed a QB. Oakland needed a QB and they took the best QB in the draf in Russell, afte rthat he fell because a lot of teams were not very high on him. He has huge accuracy troubles, he never won a bowl game, and he always had his worst games when they mattered most. Quinn really will be a bust, he will be the next Akili Smith or Joey Harrington, another flop or average at best.

He slipped because not many teams needed a QB. After the Dolphins didn't pick him at 9 there was no way the next 10-12 teams could pick a QB. All this talk about he didn't win a bowl game is a bunch of Bull, how did Peyton Manning do Against Flordia in College??? He turned out OK i think. Brady will win the starting job and eventually take the Browns to the play-offs and may-be super bowl, he is that good.

He didn't. He was chosen in the 1st round and was the 2nd QB taken. I think that most teams have finally discovered what is more important to take from the draft. Most stars in the NFL were not taken in the top ten of their draft and even more were not taken on the first day let alone the first round. Teams are leaning towards drafting for need rather than taking a potential superstar. Furthermore it seems that QB's weren't a big commodity in this years draft. National Champion QB from the Florida Gators Chris Leak went undrafted.

Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Matt Hasselbeck, Frank Gore, Anquan Boldin, Jason Taylor...all taken after the 1st round.

No NFL executive wants to draft the next. Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf, Jeff George, Brian Bosworth, Tony Mandarich or Todd Marinavich.

Really did not have much to do with Brady Quinn himself. Oakland was the only team that really had a pressing need for a QB. Everyone else already had a young QB on the bench, so it would be a wasted pick. So, Brady Quinn fit in where the NFL draft market dictated. Actually for him, he will do much better in Cleveland than in Oakland or Miami.

I really wonder the same thing. I looked at countless Mock Drafts last week and NOBODY had him going lower than 7th. He is an absolute STEAL at the 22nd pick. I think Charlie Wiess knows a thing or two about NFL QB's (more than anyone answering questions here!) and he says he's the real deal...

I asked my partner in the office today if I missed the story where Quinn was found with a hooker Friday night or what in the world was going on???

Simple. After the Dolphins passed on him with the 9th pick no one needed a QB until Kansas City at 23, Baltiomore at 29, and Chicago at 31. If Cleveland hadn't traded up to 22 there is no telling how far he would have slipped.

anyone who said brady quinn was overrated doesn't knwo football. just because he doesn't have the biggest arm doesn't mean hes sucks. quinn has the pocket presence of an nfl starter and is a good decision maker. he was ranked exactly where eh should have been as the 2nd best qb in the draft. besides that, the reason he fell was only because miami thought ginn would help them more and no one before kansas city had qb problems. luckily for the city of cleveland, they got their hometown boy.

Brady Quinn slipped in the draft because the teams drafting could see that he really isn't that good of a quarterback, just an athlete that was overrated from a college that is HIGHLY overrated and overranked.

not many teams wanted him after the first 10. The ravens and browns, then, fought to trade up to draft him, and the browns won. Dolphins' Cam Cameron was aiming to get a playmaker WR in the first, then drafted QB Beck in the 2nd. The Cardinals already have Leinart, Lions drafted Stanton, Raiders had Russell, Texans had Schaub, Vikings have Tarvaris Jackson, Falcons have Vick, and Redskins have Campbell.

The other 10 teams afterwards already had clearly established starters and if not, drafted QB's in the 2nd-4th round.

Because he's mediocre, at best.

He shouldn't have even went in the first round... He should have went late 2nd to early 3rd.

The only reason he went that high is because he played for a highly over rated, piece of crap team, Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Notre Dame has been over rated for the past 10 years.

Brady will be the biggest bust of this year's draft... sorry for the browns.
