Its hard to say with the Raiders. Russell is an athletic freak and would probably play good football given the opportunity, but in Oakland? With the rest of the team the way it is? What he's going to show the world is whether or not he can take a beating.
Good luck, man.
I guess you can't pass on a franchise QB, but I'd keep him mostly on the bench this year. Let him get used to NFL speed, and get him some protection and a good running game. That's how I'd build my NFL team were I handed a head coaching job. O-Line and the running game first, THEN the franchise QB and some speedy wideouts.
I agree they were right to let Moss go. That whiner was dragging down the locker room. The Patriots will probably turn him into an NFL MVP though. They are just brilliant that way.
On the other hand, the 49ers made exactly the right picks for the third year in a row, and will be a force in the NFC next year. Gore, Davis, Smith, Willis, Clements, Harris, DJack... starting to sound pretty damn good. Consider all the picks on defense and Mike Nolan's background as defensive coordinator for the Ravens... wow.

miami was hurting because they drafted ginn too early and phillie took kevin kolb, a backup qb after trading out of the 1st round. carolina had an amazing draft with getting dwayne jarrett in the 2nd round. oakland, minnesota, and detroit also had good drafts because of the top talent they got in russell, peterson, and johnson along with people like michael bush, sydney rice, and drew stanton.
