The previous answer by John S. is probably the correct answer. Mike Brown of the Bears was drafted in the 2nd round in 2000. Colston is great but the question was if a person drafted LAST, there were 3 more players drafted after Colston in 2006. Great question though..

It's tough to say since the draft has changed over the years.

Now we are down to 7 rounds...the old drafts used to be LONGER.

For what it's worth...former Superbowl MVP Larry Brown was drafted somethink like the 14th round...

Then you look at Roger Staubach for the Cowboys of the 70's...I believe he was a 10th round pick.

So when you look historically you have players who drafted much later than any of the modern day Mr. Irrelevants who have actually gone on to become HOF Players.

While some of the older drafts used to go more rounds, they also had fewer teams and so fewer players were picked in the earlier rounds. Staubach, for instance, went in the 10th round, but was still the 129th player picked, which is the equivelant of a 4th round pick this year.

There are plenty of undrafted players who have gone on to Hall of Fame careers, though none recently.

No, the best player that was picked last is probably Jim Finn a fullback that was drafted in 1999 by the bears and now plays on the giants.

That's a good one and those are some good answers above, but the Saints have the latest and best Mr. Irrelevant to date in wideout Marques Colston. Keep an eye on him cause your question could be answered this upcoming season.

Yes, Mike Brown of the Chicago Bears.

"Mister Irrelevant" is not Pro Bowl material but the Patriots once drafted LB Marty Moore and he played several seasons.

The last person in the first round! I would say probably, but would have to do some research on it!

The last person in the last round, I would say NEVER!
