Otto Graham- If winning is the only thing, then Graham was the best. Every year he played he was in a title game.
JIm Brown- Everything has been said about the man. Set rushing records that took a long time to be broken. Played mostly in 12 game and 14 game seasons.
Jerry Rice- best wide out to ever play the game. Also, case in point for best player to ever play. Aside, from the records, no play at such a high level for so long. That itself is amazing.
Lawernce Taylor- Nobody in football changed the game. Made offenses change. Joe Gibbs and Bill Walsh changed blocking patterns. Walsh slid a guard out and Gibbs created the H-back position to try and stop Taylor.
Sammy Baugh- First great passing QB. Also led the league in punting for a season and led the league in INTs as a defensive player

Admittedly a matter of opinion, but:
1. Jim Brown: even now, the best back ever to play. Even after retiring with good years left, his record took a couple of decades to break (even with seasons of 14 and 16 games, as opposed to 12 game seasons Brown played).
2. Dick Butkus: a true force of nature and the most intimidating player any time his stepped onto the field.
3. Lawrence Taylor: as intimidating in his time as Butkus was in his.
4. Johnny Unitas, If you needed a player to win you a football game, this is the one...
5. Joe Montana: ...unless it was this guy. Both the best clutch QB in history.

1. Bruce Matthews - OL (recently inducted into the Hall of Fame, and was able to play anywhere on the line)
2. Dan Marino - QB (the only reason he's without a Super Bowl ring is because Miami didn't have a running game or defense for most of his career)
3. Walter Payton - RB (his accomplishments speak for themselves)
4. Lawrence Taylor - LB (he redefined what it means to play linebacker)
5. Ronnie Lott - FS (while Joe Montana is often credited for winning 4 of the 5 49ers' Super Bowl victories, and deservingly so, Lott was every bit as important to those teams)

Jim Brown (rb) - acknowledged by historians as the best ever, the way he dominated the position for the great Browns teams
Jerry Rice (wr) - danced his way into the record books, forget those last couple of years and look at his body of work for a career
Dick Butkus (lb) - one of the meanest players ever, was not allowed to practice in pads because he was full-go no matter the situation
Mike Webster (c) - defined the important line position with the great Steelers teams
Deacon Jones (dl) - one bad man who had his famous move - the head slap - banned by the league

5. Ray Lewis
most dominant and feared defensive player in the game, vicious hitter, always around the ball.
4. Jerry Rice
best WR who ever lived, his numerous records prove so.
3. Barry Sanders
most elusive RB. He had defenders grasping air from one end of the field to another.
2. Jim Brown
Big, Strong, Fast and Fearsome, he was as big a some lineman in the NFL and ran faster than DB's.
1. Walter Peyton
He ran around and through defenses, near godlike on the field. Rest in Peace.

1) Jim Brown. Hands down (in my opinion).
2) Jerry Rice. All the records...ALL of them.
3) LaDainian Tomlinson. Speed. Moves. Power. The "complete" back.
4) Lawrence Taylor. Changed the game. Teams had ot game-plan for him.
5) Anthony Munoz. Rememebr when the (aforementioned) Lawrence Taylor sacked Joe Monmtana? Me neither.
