I think Russell will have the better career because he has more potential than Quinn and he has the ability to put up big numbers.

If Russell goes to the Raiders, than Quinn will have a much better early career. I think they are both great athletes, but Quinn is more of a team leader than showboat athlete. Sorta like the difference between Peyton or Brady and McNabb/Vick.

Russell has a better upside to him, but he also is the biggest risk. My answer will be Brady Quinn. He tends to throw ints in big games and generally stink it up but so did another QB who is in the NFL right now. He has had a pretty good career so far. His name is Payton Manning. Another thing to think about is that while Russell has done good this year he has not played in many games. QBs like that has a BIG chance of being a bust. Akili Smith is the first person to come to mind. Ryan Leaf is another.

I think that entirely depends on which team takes them. One thing to keep in mind is that both will likely get thrown to the wolves by being taken by poor teams and having to start as rookies.

The smart money is on Russell being drafted by Oakland and that will do him little good, the way Davis is mismanaging that club.

If Quinn slide down to the middle or end of the first and get drafted by a team with an established starter so that he can sit a year or two like Carson Palmer did, I think he'll ultimately have the better career.

Still, it really isn't something we'll know until after the draft.

Jamarcus Russell

Brady Quinn will have the longer and more successful NFL career. I'm going to compare Jamarcus Russell to both Daunte Culpepper and Donovan McNabb in his playing style. Culpepper drafted in 1998, tore his knee up in 2005. McNabb drafted in 1999, tore his knee up in 2006. Culpepper hasn't been able to change his style of play and we don't know if McNabb will. I see Russell having the same type of injury in less than 10 years, while Quinn is putting up Tom Brady or Peyton Manning numbers up.

I say Russell. Sure Quinn got a lot of NFL prep from big old Charlie Weis, so I'm sure as of right now he can study film better, but if you ever saw Quinn in a big game atmosphere he was horrible! He never could get anything going against Ohio State, Michigan or USC, his great games were against programs that were weak to say the least. He'll be playing against the best of the best in the NFL, thus Ohio State and Michigan caliber players on every defense he faces.

Russell has more of a durable build, add to that the fact that during his college career Brady Quinn had a tendency to disappear in the big games and I think you have to believe Russell will be more successful in the NFL.

This is a tough one but I think Brady Quinn will have a better carrer. Jamarcus is going to get too caught up in running the ball and in the media.
