Not necessarily owned by the owner...Usually, the stadium is owned by the state or local government, because taxes were used to build it, depending on how the stadium was funded...
There are owners, such as Bill Gates' co-founder partner of Microsoft, Paul Allen, who owns the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trailblazers(NBA)...He built an arena with his own money for the Trailblazers...I don't think he owns the Seahawks home stadium personally...I think the state and city own it...

That isn't true. Idiotically enough, most of the sports stadiums in the US are mostly paid for by the local government, so the stadium is owned by the government and the sports team then rents the stadium from the government. For example, the City of San Diego owns Qualcomm Stadium and the Chargers lease it from the city. However, it varies team by team.

Most of the time, the city owns the stadium. Besides private donations and grants, city-generated taxes pay for most of the construction of a stadium. Because of this, the stadium belongs to the city (most of the time; private corporations could claim ownership for the right price, I guess).
