If hypothetically Favre retires, is Rodgers ready? Or has he been on the bench too long?

First of all, to the person attacking Rodgers for breaking his leg in the game, how is that his fault? I admit Favre is the greatest stud to ever put on a uniform, but injuries happen. Brett has been very fortunate to not miss a start, but that is RARE in sports. Green Bay believes in Aaron Rodgers and will give him the opportunity to start after Brett leaves. I think he will be pretty good too. Most quarterbacks are rushed into the starting job, Aaron knows the offense, knows the players, now all he needs is the opportunity to show us what he can do.

The answer to that question lies in how the Packers draft this spring. If they believe Rodgers is their QB of the future, then they will not use a high pick on a QB. But, if they move up for a QB then Rodgers succeeding Favre is no longer a given.

Rodgers will have to be ready...there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I give the man credit for playing in a game even after his leg was in pain. He has alot strength, courage and testicular fortitude.

Now the big issue is will he still be there when Favre retires. Since there have been trade rumors and they circulate around Rodgers. I know the front office has come out and said we have no intention of trading him and those are rumors blah, blah, blah.... The only person that is safe in Green Bay is the man who wear number 4 on his jersey.

unfortunately yes. rodgers was the packers first round a few years ago. rodgers was a good college QB, but i doubt he becomes anything more than average in the NFL. the first time he got in a real game, he broke his leg. that is some sh1tty @ss performance when you compare it to the ironman brett favre, he never gets hurt. rodgers will be a bust.

Favre is going to hurt the Packers by staying for 2 more years, watch.

I think the Packers would try to find someone else other than Rodgers. I kinda think Brett will be around at least two more seasons. And I think they will make the playoffs this season.

Yea, hes the man they'll use. They drafted him with their round 1 pick in the event Favre did retire. Their gameplan worked and hes got some experience under his belt and they most likely will use him.

if any thing rodgers on the bench is taking some of farves long line of experience and wisdom so he should actually be a pretty good qb for his first year like as good as david carr

they seem to be set with rodgers as the next qb for them after favre otherwise they would've gotten rid of him and gotten another one of their needs satisfied.
