I am actually doing 1 hour of indoor cycling everyday, and two hours on Saturday and Sunday. I have been reading that for this type of exercise, I need to eat a total of 2,000 calories per day but the difficult part is that I get tired of trying to find out foods that meets the requirements to mention, no more than 5 gm of fat, no more than 140 sodium, no more than 5 sugar, Saturated fat, etc. I just hate diets. What can I do. Is Cycling good to loose weight? should I stop for a while, and cheat my metabolism with another activity? or should I just focus on a diet?

I live on a rural road and I have some great piney woods that I bike through. Unfortunately there are several homes on my routes that have unpinned dogs. I've already been bitten once while riding. Anyone ever dealt with this and have a solution that keeps them off their legs while riding? I've considered pepper spray but I don't want to harm the dogs...I just don't want bite marks on my calves. These routes are outside of city limits so as far as I know there are no dog enclosure laws.

ive come across several shocks on specialized bikes (epic, enduro, and stumpjumper) that have that special reservoir. ive heard it called the Brain Fade, flow control valve, and specialized AFR shock. whats the real name? or are they all actually separate models?

someone please enlighten me on this. if they are different, which one is the best?

What makes me mad is that they are advised not to climb in winter months and their risking the safety of others to save their butts ! Also taxpayers have to foot the bill for rescue operations !

Right now i have a full suspension bike and its time to get a new one. i go camping alot and me and other kids go and ride all over the campground. I was wondering which would be better for a campground that is generally flat with a few hills here and there, its also gravel, dirt, and grass conditions that i am riding on. which would be better for a bike under 300 $, hardtail or full suspension.

I think this is stupid cuz wouldnt you need to burn the calories and fat eaten rather than bike ride then come home and eat??
My girlfriend continues to argue with me about this...She claims shes worries about getting sick after eating THEN a bike ride.
Thank you for this...Why would you get some fitness then eat? You would have burned off calories for nothing.
