Brady Anderson, who do you think?

2007-08-09 01:32:20 · 7 answers · asked by Anonymous

Since all of Bonds' critics are pulling up stats from his career to cast doubt on his accomplishments, I would like to add this info about AROD:

These are his homerun totals from 1996-2000 with the Seattle Mariners: 36, 23, 42, 42, 41.
These are his homerun totals from 2001-2003 with the Rangers: 52, 57, 47.
These are hit totals the last four years with the Yankees: 36, 48, 35, 36.

Something appears really jacked up with the stats during those three years in Texas (almost three 50 homer seasons in a row). Let's remember who his teammates were in Texas: Juan Gonzales (a guy who appeared to be on the juice), Caminiti (a guy admittedly on the juice), Rafael Palmeiro (a guy found guilty of juicing), Ivan Rodriguez (a guy implicated as being on steroids, and whose body has drastically changed the last few years), and even Andres Galaragga (a guy whose body looked nothing likeit did at thebeginning of his career). Now if AROD was around these guys and saw them getting bigger and better, who can not believe that he wouldn't take the steroids as well, believing in his mind that he was truly the best player in the game. Plus, look how his homerun power surged in comparison to his years in Seatlle. The numbers in NY are evidence to me that like many players he has sinced stopped taking the juice as scrutinity has gone up.

Can anyone refute this proof?

saying that Glavine would be the final one to 300. I say Randy Johnson, at 284 wins, still has a shot, and so does Mussina, and that's about it for this current generation of pitchers. I'm not factoring in the pitchers in their 20's like Zambrano, Santana, Zito and Sabathia, who all, could get there if they pitch into their mid 40's.

Bonds' numbers obviously jumped up quite a bit when he started taking, while McGwire always stayed the same. So if McGwire actually took some steroids could you imagine the hundreds of homeruns he would have hit? I think he could have hit 80 in a season if McGwire cheated like Bonds.

I've been wondering, how do Pirates fans feel about Barry Bonds' record, since Barry was on the Pirates.

Now that we have come to like many of them as fans, how do we know what the real age of the guy who it is we are routing for is? prime example. New York Mets Pitchers - El Duque - Orlando Hernandez. The mets roster says he was born in 1969 which would make him 37/38 this year, but birth certificates from his native country say 1965, i mean this is identity fraud, you can go to jail it americans did this. none of these latinos are really americans, maybe, a-rod, manny, raffy, guys who grew up here but also had latin roots. i don't think this issue is covererd enough. is pedro martinez really 35 or is he 41? no one knows.. he certainly isn't pitching like a 35 to, which is relatively young. my point is, how do we know that yunievsky Bettancourt, the solid Mariners SS from Cuba is only 25, i mean the guy looks 32. also, miggy tejada for the O's, he's only 30 , he looks 36, stuff like this is critical. becaue if they keep lying about their age, they can play way longer than they

I'm compelled 2 call him "Sandra Oh," but I no his 1st name is, well, similar to it. He hit over eight hundred home runs; my Dad said that that's possible w/ the size of ball parks Japan has. Can u give me some 411 on him? (& incidentally, will B*nds reach 800? I actually prefer that he don't, not just cuz I'm a Dodger fan.]

Babe Ruth should have one by his name because he didn't play with minorities or blacks just white players plus he was a drunk and a poor example to kids.

My opinion is yes. They're 6 games back in a weak division. They still play a bunch of games against the cubs and Brewers. Their pitching staff is kinda sorta gaining momentum. The brewers are realing and the cubs are cursed. I'd give them a 50% shot right now. What do you all think?

make the Hall of Fame even if he doesn't get to 300 wins? He's 44 years old and has one more year on his contract with the D-Backs at 13 million for 2008. 3.22 career ERA and 4,616 K's. He's a Hall of Famer even if he doesn't get to 300.
