He's in the hall for sure. He was the most dominant pitcher in baseball for close to ten seasons and he has a ring. No question. No way he comes back at his age with a creaky back. Even if he did, he would get shelled and that would not be a fitting end to a spectacular career.

It's always tricky predicting a comeback, even with the advanced medical technology and procedures we have today.
Johnson, I think, is a tough enough and determined enough mug that he will manage to stride, limp, or crawl back atop the mound in 2008 and grind, grind, grind his way to 300 wins. He wants it and is close enough to taste it. Even given his advanced baseball age, he's come back from similar or worse.
The Hall? Oh yeah, he mailed that one in years ago. Getting to 300 wins is just adding a big shiny star atop his playing record. (Plus it'll make all those mediots who wrote just days ago about Glavine being the last one, look even dumber than they already are.)

If he doesn't come back, he will still probably make the Hall of Fame, but those last 16 wins would ice it for him.

I don't think he'll get to 300 wins, his back won't hold up. I definitely think he will be in the Hall, though

Johnson needs 3 hundred. he will keep on pitching till his arm falls off (or perhaps then, he might desire to objective pitching righty for slightly). Moyer, nicely, he continues to be effective. with the aid of now he can probable keep chugging alongside till the fishing and rocking chair sound greater beautiful than mountaineering the mound.

Much as I would like it I fear Randy is finished. He is a Trojan and we all root for our own. Fight On!
