I think it's a disgrace watching teams like the Pirates, Roylas, Reds, Devil Rays & countless other teams never have a fair chance b/c the dear Commissioner Has no guts to make a fair profit sharing system to help these teams. I remember how good the Royals where. They used to give the Yankees fits in the 70's & 80's. The Pirates also had a rich history. Now watching them is sad to watch. I can imagine how older fans of these teams must feel. It's time for selig to grow some & make a system that will help all the teams in Baseball.

I believe there were four or five individuals, one of them may have been Jesse Orosco.

I believe it was somewhere between 8 and 15 years ago that a team playing the Texas Rangers hit 3 grand slams in the game and the Rangers won by a score of I think was 13 to 12. Does anyone remember the game and who the other team was and the exact year that this happened? There were not many 3 grand slams in any game by one team and I believe this was the only game ever lost by the team that hit the slams.

I have been watching this very closely this year. Especially with the Texas Rangers. I don't understand why, when the team needs base runners the manager allows the hitter to swing at 3-0 and 3-1. Most of the time they will make an out. I believe there is a better chance of the pitcher throwing a ball out of the next three pitches. I say take 3 except when a man is on second and there is one out. No need setting up for a double play.

Does he deserve to be listed as 1st place? Will his name have an asterisk next to it explaining the situation? He has had a heck of a career, but it has been tainted. Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth didn't need performance enhancing drugs to set seemingly unbreakable records. Is it fair that Barry Bonds will be regarded as the home run king?

Here it is! You know you wanna whine, grouse, froth and vent over Bonds taking another step forward and losing another ball deep into the atmosphere. Go ahead, blow it out. You deserve it.

I still reemember when Todd Van Poppel was compared to Nolan Ryan, and Brien Taylor was considered the next Yankee phenom. It makes me think of how hard it is to make it into the Major Leagues, let alone become a star. But how many of those first round HS and college phenoms have stared at Major League level for the last 10 years?

What specific talents or traits make closing pitchers closers? They all seem to have the 'right stuff' Is is that they can't maintain the that stuff for more innnings? Is it physical? Is it focus?

If a closer has such great stuff, why isn't he a starting pitcher?????

He has at least 12 seasons in him, and if in those twelve seasons he wins 16 games, it'll be 192 career victories.

192+69 current wins= 261 wins.

I think he has himself a legitamate run for the hall of fame.

Why does every Yankee fan think that every Red Sox fan is obnoxious? I love the Sox and Hate the Yankees but I know not all of their fans are obnoxious.

Also to Yankee FANS. You are not a part of the team so stop posting saying us or we, your not on the team.
