If the cards are from the 1920s, it would be best to get them professionally graded and appraised. (There are several grading services - a quick Google search should find a few.) Cards from before the modern era of baseball cards (i.e., pre-1950 or so) tend to be both rarer and less frequently traded, so exact condition is more important. Since both are Hall of Famers, good condition cards would sell at a premium.
