SITUATION: With runners on first and third and one out, the batter flies out deep to right field for the second out. R3 tags up barely dodging the catcher’s tag. The alert catcher quickly throws to first base, where the first base man tags out R1, for the third out. The defense appeals accurately claiming that R3 left third base early. --- QUESTION: Does the run count? Why or Why not?

Two teams are playing a game on a field which borders a farm. A batter hits a ball which rolls to the fence, just inside the LF foul line. The left fielder goes to pick it up, but a stray hog runs onto the field and eats the ball. You are the scorer. How do you score it??

I usually pitch way better in relief than when I start, but I think my coach wants me to be a starting pitcher. How do I tell him that I want to relieve?

I throw a curveball that breaks very well. However, I don't always control it; this past Tuesday I closed a game and threw it extremely effectively, but yesterday I started and threw 1 of 12 curveballs for a strike. I need to get it to where I can throw it anytime.

I am in ok shape. I play hockey in the winter and usually spring, but I want to try something else that is less expensive for the spring/summer. I think softball would be fun but i have never played before. Do places offer beginner leagues for my age? I live in Rochester, Michigan. How would i find a inexpensive beginner league? Also would i need to buy lots of equipment? Because that would defeat the purpose!

My out pitch used to be a splitter, but my coach told me not to throw it anymore. I throw around 75 and I have pinpoint accuracy on my fastball. Sometimes I throw my curveball well, sometimes I don't. My changeup is meat; it's only about 5 mph slower than my fastball...Help! No knuckleball.

Mine is hitters over pitchers, and NEVER blow off a category. Further specifics will be kept to myself because I want to hear what you have to say.
