Joel Zumaya, reliever for the Detroit Tigers. I think he threw 102-103 at one point last year!
If you care, I'm pretty sure Steve Sparks throws the slowest ball! A knuckleball that goes like only 59 mph! Of course he gets lit up all the time, but...

Joel Zumaya of Detroit. From the current Sporting News:
"233: Pitches thrown by Tigers' Joel Zumaya in 2006 that topped 100 mph. According to Baseball Info Solutions, that's the most in a season since it began tracking the statistic in 2002."

Primet21 is just jealous because the Tigers made the Stanks look like little leaguers last year.
If you get an answer other than Joel Zumaya, that person must be on drugs. Not only does Zumaya have the fastest pitch, he does it consistently.

Joel Zumaya, relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers has hit 104 MPH on the radar gun at least once. I should know, I'm a Tigers fan.

Zumaya is consistently over the century mark in velocity however the mets closer Billy Wagner throws just as hard and has hit 103-104mph many times. Oh by the way lets not forget the yankees have a fireballer who also hits three digits in Kyle Farnsworth. I believe hit hit 104mph also.
