Ive tried and tried....but the truth is. I will never be able to unlove you. the way your soft brown hair blowed around me made my heart week. the way u huged me with all of your heart made me never want to let you go. the way u looked right through my soul with your soft blue eyes letting me know u really loved me. and the way u said you loved me......was so real and pure i wanted to die. I will always love you, because I cant unlove you.

i love you more then the world. i always have and always will. the smile on your face lights up my day. the way you say my name makes my heart flutter away. i cant wait to hear your laugh, so sweet and so gentle. i feel something for you. but i often wonder if its true. i know you do not feel the same way. so i will wait for that day when true happiness unfolds and you are in my arms once more.

I would like to contact him directly, with a special request for a very sick friend of mine who has cancer very badly. He is a great New York Yankees fan, and I would like to surprise him with a note at Christmas from Joe Torre himself.

If the Mets were to play the Yankees in the World Series, what is it called? NY has a name for it. Anyone know?

His @ss should have been out of there and this is coming from a huge Yankee fan. It is time for him to go he had a nice run but it is time for him to go. He screwed with the lineup to much in the series and showed A-rod he had no confidence in him. They need Pinnella he would actually get pissed off at them and A-Rod played good in the playoffs under Pinnella.

Torre to Manage Yankees Next Season
Steinbrenner Says 'Responsibility Is Yours, Joe'
AP Sports
NEW YORK (Oct. 10) - Joe Torre will remain as manager of the New York Yankees , finally getting the word from owner George Steinbrenner after the team's surprise elimination from the playoffs last weekend.

Torre spoke with Steinbrenner on the telephone Tuesday, shortly before he walked into the interview room at Yankee Stadium and made the announcement.

"He gave me his support," Torre said. "I'm just pleased I'm able to stay on and do this."

Torre didn't go into detail about his conversations with Steinbrenner.

But Steinbrenner, in a statement issued through spokesman Howard Rubenstein, said he told Torre: "'You're back for the year. I expect a great deal from you and the entire team. I have high expectations, and I want to see enthusiasm, a fighting spirit and a team that works together. Responsibility is yours, Joe, and all of the Yankees .'

Is this an ultimatum?

I don't believe that my Cubbies are cursed, but it's getting really saddening, year after year....we haven't won a WS since what?--1908?

We've **got** to be the most optimistic souls on the face of the planet, hoping each season that **this** will be the year....

I'm getting too depressed to follow the papers any more! Any sports maniacs out there want to figure reasonable odds that we'll win the National League and/or World Series any time within the next ten years or so?

Or should I just toss my money at the Las Vegas bookies and say "just keep it; the Cubs are a lost cause for the next decade"?

(Non-Cubs-people: please don't add insults to injury---we feel bad enough already. Thank you for your courtesy.)

I was at a yard sale yesterday morning, and while digging around in a box of odds and ends, came across the August 31, 2003 issue of Baseball America ( Magazine ). Inside, on page 21, are two autographs ( signed with a black sharpie ), those of Chase Utley and Marc Bombard. I'm quite certain that the autographs are genuine because someone has attached a note with a paper clip that reads: INSIDE AUTOGRAPHED BY PG. 21 CHASE UTLEY ( PHILLIES ) & MARC BOMBARD. Don't know who Marc Bombard is either. Utley is in a minor league uniform. Anyway, just wondering if anyone was familiar with these names.

Over the past few years they've made it to the playoffs, but never get past it. Do you think they'll succeed soon? (maybe as long as they don't play those damn Yankees!)
