Because he's the highest paid player in the League.

I think Yankee fans are dumb, A-Rod is not the problem. They could send him to my Cubbies and i would be a happy man. There problem is everyone on the team hates each other and no one cares if they win or loose (maybe except Jeter). They need young pitching and they need to drop some egos...

Texas is still paying about 8 million a year of A-Rods salery so anyone that has him is getting a deal.

Because he's not playing up to both his physical and monetary potential. All he does is whine about it in a cocky way. He brings his hitting woes onto the field and does not have the make up to play where there is pressure. He excels in small market teams and stands out like a superstar. In NY,there's too many superstars for him to stand out and he doesn't like that. He is all about personal achievement,he doesn't put the team first. This may sound corny and cliche' but there is no "I" in "Team" His inability to perform when needed and his curtness about it just drags the other players down. He's a big cry baby...I hope the Yankees get rid of his sorry a55. If he doesn't waive his no trade clause, that just proves how selfish he is. He's never gonna make it here. He's a cancer in the clubhouse.

He has the greatest potential and the highest payroll. Plus, he isn't the greatest public speaker. Then again, the "Lightning Rod" is a favorite target of fans and media alike. It's just hard to relate to a player like that, and it's even harder to do so without getting dragged into the media frenzy.

People in Seattle hate him because we gave him his start, and then he spurned us. Plus he played all coy and innocent about his whether he would stay or leave, when it was obvious he would leave (when he would not talk about negotiating a new contract until his existing one was done, that was a clear sign he was going--why couldn't he just say so?) And then, worst of all, when he gets $250 million and then has the gall to say "it wasn't about the money, it was about the best team" (Texas? TEXAS???!!!!, Friggin' TEXAS?), that was it for a lot of us here. I am happy to see him struggling, and wish him unwell

Because he is overpaid compared to other players and still can't lead the team to win in the playoffs.

I'd like to see your evidence. I think it may stem from his contract and Post Season failures.

Because he is an over-paid choke artist.

b/c he makes the most money and a lot of them probably think they are better and that he is just overpaid and therefore, overrated.
