Joe Torre has set up a foundation kown as the Safe at Home Foundation in fighting domestic violence. There is, at this website, a phone number that you can use to contact them directly. I would hope that they would be able to help you with your request.

I would contact him through the Yankees public relations department. Your request is exactly the kind of thing that they will help you with. My brother-in-law has met Torre and says he is a great guy. By the way, his contract just got picked up for 2007.

From what I know people have seen joe torre in stores around westchester county NY, which is where I'm from. I don't know the exact address but I have heard Mamaroneck, NY.

How about contacting his charity...I dont know the address but the name of it is Four Seasons of Hope. It's not cancer related,it's about preventing domestic violence but they may be able to point you in the right direction. Tell them your story,they may be able to put you in contact with him. He's a prostate cancer survivor and may be involved with other related organizations.
Have you tried the make a wish foundation? I don't know the criteria and details of your situation but they also may be able to help.
