Baseball - September 2006

[Selected]: All categories Sports Baseball

My predictions:

AL

East - Yankees
Central - Twins
West - Angels

NL

East - Mets (and at long last the Braves won't be in the playoffs. That is such a joy to be cherished. Now if only that would happen to the Yankees.)
Central - Cards
West - Giants

I have tickets to go to a yankee hame on sep 30. There is no time for the game. When will I know the time of the game? Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks!

Think about it. The Mets have only won 2 championships. 69 had to be as much of a fluke as physically possible, as the year before they finished 9th and the year after they finished 3rd in the NL East. Then, in 86, the years before and after they finished out of the playoffs. Ever since then, they have been a flash-in-the-pan franchise that does good about every 5 years. Now you expect me to believe they are going to win the NL this year? Come on. The NL is the JV of MLB. If you put the Mets in the AL Central, and switch them with the Indians, Mets finish 4th and the Indians would win the East. This team will win the division and expect the Dodgers or Cardinals to burn them to the ground. Enough about the Mets being the future of baseball, because the future will come the day soccer's "future" comes here in the US, and MLS becomes a major sport. Just because you say the future will come, doesn't mean it actually will.

The Metropolitans are still the Mets. And they play JV baseball.

About baseball??

AL East: Yankees lead by 9.
AL Central: Tigers lead by 5.
AL West: Athletics lead by 6.5.
NL East: Mets lead by 15.
NL Central: Cardinals lead by 6.

The only three playoff spots seemingly up-for-grabs are the NL West and the two wild cards (what a surprise). Will any of these three become a definite by mid-September or will these races go all the way down the stretch?

Consider this. The Marlins have...

1. the lowest payroll on baseball.
2. the worst fan-support in the majors.
3. a roster full of Double-A and Triple-A talent. (other than Willis)
4. a rookie manager who is in an all-out feud with the owner.

By all accounts this team should be headed for a 100+ loss season. But low-and-behold... THEY'RE IN THE PLAYOFF HUNT. How in the heck did this happen???

Do Bonds records stand through 2001, when he ALLEGEDLY started?

If you want to take away Bonds records, what about everything touched by Canseco, Caminitti, Palmiero and all the other admitted users or those who failed a test?

I'm a Japanese.
Sometimes I hear Football is the No1 spors in USA.
But I still can't believe Baseball isn't No1.

Definition of No1 sports is considerable.
NBA has many games, so the number of the audience is the largest. and American football is the lagert in the sports event.

Considering many factors, what is the No1 popular sports in USA?

For example, children's future dream is a baseball player, and children play baseball after school in Japan. I dont suppose children play American foot ball after school in US.

Considering those things, What is the No.1 sports in USA?

It is when a batter hits a single, double, triple, and homer in the same game. For 10 points, tell me what a NATURAL CYCLE is, and name the last person to do it.
