Until they change ownership..........never!!! They are like the Phillies, as long as they sell tickets and end up in the black at the end of the year, that's all they care about. Winning is not a priority. I see it in Philadelphia and I can see the same situatio in Chicago.

To be honest with you I root for the Cubs and I kind of hope they don’t win the World Series. Here is why? First off, have you noticed how arrogant the Red Sox fans are after they won the World Series, it’s beyond belief? Second and most importantly if they win who do you root for (I think most people root for the Cubs cause they are like a lost puppy in baseball). Third, who play the bad team in the Movies that add that one player and wins the World Series.

Hendry, McPhail, Tribune company. You will not see a World Series until these three are gone. Their motive is to make money...not win championships. I just don't get the sense that anyone in that organization except the players and Dusty Baker is losing sleep over this season.
So until then, the only way the Cubs will get to the World Series is to buy a ticket like everyone else.

Sell the team to a real owner, fire Baker, gut the team but keep Lee and Zambrano, move to a new stadium, Wrigley is cursed theyve never wn a title there. Sacrifice a billy goat. If Cub fans would stop going to the games like WSox fans did maybe the owners will try to put a winning team on the field.

Never with the Tribune company owning them. They make too much money cause Cubs fans still show up whether they win or lose. Blame it on the faithful Cubs fans for showing up no matter what. If their attendace dropped and they weren't making as much $$$$ it would motivate them to at least try to win something.

Seems like they let us down every year but that won't stop me from being a fan. Ever been to Wrigley? If not you have to go! Been there 3 times, Its a special place. When the Chicago Tribune sells them!
They don't care about the Cubs, just filling the seats! Over3,000,000 a year! Why would they want them to win? Then they wouldn't have to pay those ridiculous salaries! Not just baseball, but all sports are one thing, a BUSINESS!! Mark Cuban the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, would be a great owner.
He doesn't care about how much he spends, but only cares about one thing;WINNING! WINNING! WINNING!
