The Mets. The Mets have basically clinched the division in the NL East and are, by what Baseball Analysis say, are a shoe-in to win the NL Championship and possibly the World Series. But you have to consider the Detriot Tigers and the Yankees. The Yankees have made a complete turn-around during the month of August and are once again the favorite to win the AL East. And the Tigers are also on top of the list because they have basically been the second greatest suprise in MLB this season, actually on track to winning the AL Central in front of the Chicago White Soxs, thats saying something.

The Yankees all the way. Cardinals would be lucky to get into the playoffs, even if they did there is no way they could get threough the Mets and Dodgers, Mets are far too unhealthy, and the Dodgers don't put up enough runs. There is no way the Tigers could get through the Yankees, especially with it looking like A-Rod is back in MVP form, and the White Sox starting Pitching has struggles as of late. Yankees take the world series in five over the dodgers, making the dodgers second best.

Marlins. Won 8 straight, then lost a couple, now have won 4 in a row.
Forget their overall record, since mid-may that are 58-37 - .611
As a contending national league team, do you really want to play hte marlins?
Other options are the twins and the yankees.
