I know he wants to, and supposedly they're working on a car for him. But do you seriously think he'll be back to race in two weeks? But wouldn't it be awesome if he came back this year and ended up winning a 15th championship?!

Also do you think this will mark the end of his career behind the wheel as a NHRA Driver?

I mean, since retirement from Driver duties seemed imminent, will injuries sustained yesterday definitely put this horrific accident as John's last run?

What kind of transmission will be the best for a really fast drag race? … automatic or manual or something else? And if you have NOS would it be better the earlier you use it? who get the most advantage, the one who use it early or the one use after, no matter how much time gap between them?

I heard on the radio yesterday that the daughter of some race car driver was voted the hottest sports star. I can't remember her name though...does anyone know?

Additional info: It was a tournament type competition...she beat out Danica Patrick, and beat Tom Brady in the final matchup.

I could go faster in my truck! But I wouldn't burn up my tires on the corners to do it. It just looks silly. Slide ,slide ,slide and go slow.

Amidst all the negative publicity surrounding British motorsport, can we take a moment to honour the life of the greatest ever British rally driver, who lost his life yesterday in a helicopter crash.
Slainte, Col.

I'm just wondering if anyone in here knows what WRC is and if so do you like it and/or watch it? SPEED used to carry the broadcasts in the states but those days are long gone and I just can't believe it.

this is pissing me off that SOME ccws and irl fans and owners Cant see that with out geting back together open wheel motorsport is stuffed. look at the nascar crowds and tv figures and look at the irl and ccws, im not a nascar fan but as an australian watching this it Annoys me that the cant put there differences behind them and have a indy car world series. you nay sayers might Disagree but if you want what is best for openwheel motorsport you would agree with me. the other option is the two series keeps going for a nother ten years untill the die hard supporters even say stuff it. thats my two cents like it or not.

Grip is a very important aspect in very sport. I noticed , if tires like the Bridgestone Potenza offers extreme grip and durability , why not use the same material and technology for shoes? Tires are durable and they would make really good soles. What do you guys think?

I'm helping a cousin with his business administration thesis.

My Dad and I are building a Mini Stock (aka factory four) and I was wondering what kind of car you think would be the best to get. It has to be 4 cyl, and 5 speed. So far we were told Dodge Neons were zippy little cars and easy to find parts for too! We want something that we can get new parts fairly easily so we can fix it when it breaks. Any ideas welcome! Thanks!

Or maybe this year. Newman Haas has a seat open as of right now. Ultimately, I don't care where he winds up as long as its in open wheel cars. Both Champcar and the IRL need more star power.

Both Rahal and Andretti are interested in a F1 seat. Who do you think will make it? Who will find more success? Graham Rahal is looking fairly impressive lately in his first year of Champcar, but Marco is having a quiet year in the IRL.
