Both Rahal and Andretti are interested in a F1 seat. Who do you think will make it? Who will find more success? Graham Rahal is looking fairly impressive lately in his first year of Champcar, but Marco is having a quiet year in the IRL.

Marco will never get to F1 unless he leaves the IRL right away. The IRL is a second rate series at best and the longer he races their the less likely his chances of making it to F1 will become.

remember sponsorship is everything, and an andretti will sell more than a rahal, if defraen hadn't left honda the race seat would be marcos to give up but i dont know how much that has changed since deferans retirtement, if both are applying for the same seat marco will get it, but i hope both make it there eventually

I think Graham Rahal has a better shot at making it to F-1 than Marco Andretti. Graham has had experience racing the European and Asian racing circuits due to his stints in the A1GP series. Whereas Marco hasnt had much racing experience overseas... and if Marco wants to be in F-1 he has to avoid making the same mistakes that his dad did in 1993...

I have my doubts if either one would amount to anything in F1. Now don't get me wrong I like both and they are good but that F1 stuff is a different world. Micheal tried it and it was a disaster for him.
I am not being a trouble maker but I just don't think the Untied States has a driver right now to compete in F1.
We had Scott Speed who wasn't that bad and was doing better than his team mate and they let Speed go. This can be an example about the team your on too. I think that a while back I was checking things out about teams and out of the 15 teams each team drivers are rated next to each other except for one or two teams.
I would much rather see them try the GP2000 first and see what happens.
And the one big factor is the team who they would drive for. You have to be on a team that isn't going to jump from a contender right into a research and development team.

If either of them make it I believe that it would be Rahal, just based on the fact that Champ Car is a road/street course only/international series now. Whereas the IRL is more of a truely american type sport, with a blend of road, street, and ovals. Besides that Marco is not that good. When you figure his teammate's are pretty much killing him in the standings.

Graham is determinrd to go to F1. Marco is content racing in circles. Graham raced in atlantics, star mazda, then pro atlantics. I think Marco just did the Indy pro league.
