Seems like everyone watched the Cup event, but tell me somebody watched at least some of the IRL race from Kentucky or the Champcar race from Road America. Pretty good racing weekend all the way around.

Suppose we had a triple crown or grand slam similar to golf or tennis. Indianapolis, Daytona, Monoco and maybe Le Mans. Do you think that would be good for Auto Racing?

Speeding Ticket 58mph in 50 zone?
Speeding Ticket 58mph in a 50 zone?
Has anybody (as of today 10th August 2007) got a pending speeding ticket, or have you just had a speeding ticket? I've just got one and I need to know if it's valid or not. At the bottom of my 'intended prosecution' notice is a box marked 'FOR POLICE USE ONLY' with spaces for a Police Officer (or someone else) to declare that they have sent this notice to me by normal mail, and it goes on to say that the sheet I've received is a true copy. The thing is, this section has not been filled in by anyone and therefore is not signed and dated. The date is included higher up the form, but not on this declaration. Has anyone got a current similar form, has this section been filled in on yours, and do you think this omission makes my form invalid? Any other advice as to how to get this ticket quashed? It's yet another money making venture from a Government that has already stolen nearly every penny I've earned. No wonder people don't help the police much!
Thanks in advance.

Again, I'll give you a few names, and you can choose between them.

Don Garlits: "Big Daddy" was the first driver to use a rear engined Top Fuel car, as well, he was the first driver to break 200, 210, 230, and 250 miles an hour.

Kenny Bernstein: "The King of Speed." He is the first driver to ever win a Championship in both Funny Far, and Top Fuel, although not in the same year, also the first driver to break 300, and 310 miles an hour.

Joe Amato: Five time Top Fuel Champion.

Blaine Johnson: (deceased) Won more National Events in Top Fuel in one season than any other racer before (1996).

Darrel Gwynn: Revolutionized Aredoynamics in Top Fuel.

Tony Schumacher: He was the first racer to break 330 miles an hour in Top Fuel.

Scott Kalitta: The first back-to-back Top Fuel Champion since the seventies (1994-95).

Shirley Mouldowney: First female Top Fuel Champion, won the Championship 3 times in the early 80's.

Again, if you have anyone else to add, feel free.

I know this answer, this strip is even older than the one at Pomona, and it's not even on the NHRA Powerade tour, it's on the IHRA World Championship Tour.

I'll give you guys a week to figure it out, before I close this question out.

I know they have those gas masks, but wouldn't the explosion/fire use up all the O2? Do they hold their breath when they jump out of the middle of an inferno?

In your opinion, who is the best Funny Car racer in the NHRA today?

For most people, this question is really up for debate, but for others, most of which are true die-hard fans, there is only one real answer.

John Force . . . 14 time Powerade Points Champion, no one has ever been able to duplicate it, nor is anyone able to duplicate the success he has had on the track in his 30 plus years of racing, the national elapsed time record (4.665 seconds), and the national speed record (333.66 mph), as well as being the only person in the NHRA, past, or present, that has at least one win on every track that the NHRA races on.

Is there anyone out there who would put it all on the line to blow away the guy who thinks his car is faster than yours. With no respect for the law, just the thrill of adrenaline.

Here it is, for two Formula 1 races out of every single season (which would be chosen at random) all the drivers are forced to drive for a different team (which would also be chosen at random like champions league draws) but the drivers would have to stay together, for example Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso would have to drive for the same team but the team would not be McClaren. I know that this idea would be virtually impossible due to driver insurance policies etc but that would be great thing to look forward to in a formula 1 season.

The movie was "Driven". It was a racing movie from a few years ago.

In the middle of the movie, that namger guy in the wheelchair played by Burt Reynolds said he was terminating the contract of the main guy of the movie just because he got out of his race car to help save a guy's life in the middle of a race when while his main racing rival ALSO got out and helped that guy. But instwad of also terminating that other contract of that racing rival, he actually sides with him. Both guys got out of their cars in the middle of a race saving another guy's life and yet one guy gets fired and the other guy gets rewards??

I know this was just a movie, but how would you compare that corrupt crap in real life?

That wouldn't happen in real life, would it?
