no, completely different. And it was a version of the swastika that was positive in Asia, but not the nazi flag, nor the actual way it was drawn.

And the confederate flag was NEVER used or flown for something that negative. Remember the civil war and thus the confederacy wasnt about slavery, it was about taxation and the states individual rights to succeed from the union. As a matter of fact, NYS had slavery longer than any of the states in the south.

Near Atlanta, all the cop car's have a confederate flag for a front plate and I doubt the whole police department is racist.
It's a southern thing.

People twist it however they want. So what if the KKK uses a southern flag. It never meant anything racist to me. I wish the KKK would have used a rainbow flag because look at the gay's! They hijacked the freakin' rainbow man!
I gotta have somebody else buy my lucky charms at the supermarket now! There's no pot of gold at the otherside anymore. Now it's three dudes in a hot tub wearin' Speedo's!

that flag is not the official flag of the confederate government. That flag was the confederate battle flag. There is a huge difference. I do not think that the south executed 6 million jews either. Why can't southern america have a heritage too. Is this honor only reserved for minorities. White america is proud of our past to, just don't call us a racist for it.

how in the world do you compare the two?The Rebel flag symbolizes the South's deep heritage. It got a bad name from South haters who say it is a symbol of slavery.Yea right. What it means is I'm from the South and I'm proud of it .It should be your right to fly the Rebel flag with pride,It's your right .The bigotry toward the South has gone on too long,it's time for equity to all Americans. No matter if you are from the South we deserve the same rights as everyone else.

I think you should study National Socialism in depth before you fly the flag...

IMHO everyone has the right to fly the flag of their choice (and to stand up to the ensuing flack.)

If you can't stand tall for what you believe, then sit down before somebody knocks you down.

well, since you are flying it for a different reason, then it is OK

like you said, people fly the Confederate flag at races, but that has kind of just became a nascar "normal"

I love Southern revisionist history. The Confederate Flag never stood for slavery and hate? Whatever. Sometimes I dream that the North and South stayed seperate. No Nascar, George W, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or incest.
