Which car company has a more prestigious racing history (in terms of wins)? Audi, BMW, or Mercedes Benz?

If you are talking about le mans from the 30's- 40's are you sure it was'nt driver error? Is it fair to say it was Mercedes that was at fault?I think that you would have to go by the era. right now you have well the audi diesel which is a marvel of engineering.

Mercedes, with the mcclaren F-1 is also a marvel.

I will have to say mercedes has the best heritage however in racing.

Mercedes Benz, early grand prix history (the 30's I think).

But then again, Audi has a great rally history and they're still making history at Le Mans with their R10.

Mercedes has the darkest history, killing 100 fans. They should quit racing and use the engineering to improve the failing quality of their road cars.

of those three? that's tough, i would say Mercedes but the tragedies put a black mark on them as well, my guess would be BMW, but porche has by far the best history in racing of all German manufacturers,
