Indian cricketers were busy selling everything ranging from Colas, Buiscuits, Cars, Tyres, energy-drinks, bicycles, gasoline, credit-cards, televisions, agarbattis (incense sticks) & what not...They were busy attending product launches & ramp-shows while getting no time to have practice sessions.

The BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) is worse off. The BCCI president Sharad Pawar is busy defending his position & finding scapegoats. He is a crooked politician & has no shame in rubbishing the rumours of his resignation following the miserable performance of the paper-tigers. After all he had fought hard at rigging the BCCI elections to become the president of BCCI which has, of late, turned into a money-minting machine. Despite all the big money coming into cricket, the BCCI's annual expenditure on Booze & partying is more than that on the development of Cricket in the country & the performance is for all to see. Shame, shame, shame.....

For all the talk about parity in college basketball, this year's NCAA tournament seems to be all about the top seeds. Despite superlative efforts from most of the underdogs in the Sweet Sixteen, no team seeded lower than third in its region advanced.

However, my issue is with the fact that all of the number one seeds trailed in their third round games, two of them (North Carolina and Ohio State) by at least 16 points and two of them (Kansas and Florida) to mid-major conference teams, but each seemed to come alive at the end of its game and pull away for a victory.

My question is this: are these efforts (sloppy play at the beginning of games and surges at the end) the result of simple laziness on the part of supremely gifted teams who loaf for the first twenty minutes because they know they have the firepower to make a run, or are they the result of genuine parity between the top seeds and their opponents?

Kobe Bryant is coming off 4 straight 50 + games (65, 50, 60, and 50). He is just giving a sneak peek of what he is going to do against the Suns, Spurs, Mavericks or whoever he plays in the playoffs. The entire bunch of jokers (as rightly said by Mohinder amarnath ), and the BCCI should be responsible for playing with the emotions of the 1 billion indians. An extensive reform starting right from the domestic level, dissolving of the current board members, selectors, coach contracts, and entire bunch of 15 players is essential now.
A time has come for all of us in raising our voices and looking forward for an entire new look of the indian cricket.
