Yeah SI is dumb, Colorado will finish last. Giants will be right in front of them in 4th place.

The Dodgers and Padres are going to dominate the NL West. The Giants have young pitching and their offense isn't really good. Depends on the pitching I think they can finished 3rd in front of the D'Backs(they could also be a surprise this year) and the Rockies.

Also I commend you for expecting no less than 100 wins for your team. I always expect 100 or more for the Red Sox and I am pretty sure every fan expects the best out of their teams.

I'm a Giants fan, but 100 wins is unrealistic. They may get off to a good start, but as the season goes on, their old lineup will have trouble staying healthy. On the other hand, the D-backs and the Rockies are young, so they will get stronger as the season goes on.

I think they'll finish 3rd behind LA and SD, with a real possibility of finishing last just behind the Rockies for the reasons mentioned above. I just hope they stay in it long enough to make the season interesting.

Still an old team. If Barry hits more than 30 HR, I would be surprised. Barry Zito probably wins 18-20 games but not enough to push the Giants past 85 wins in a tough division.

I know I won't get "Best Answer" since I don't drink the black and orange koolaid and won't suck up and say "Hell, yeah, 100+ wins baby!!!!". I don't think they will finish last, but ahead of anyone other than Colorado is a pipedream. And honestly, if Helton is back on track and Tulowitzki and Iannetta step up, the Rox could finish ahead of SF too. Honestly, with the age and weakness of pitching beyond the #2 starter, they will be cheering loudly for every W beyond #75.

100 wins? You are dreaming! They over paid for Zito and Bonds wont finish the season on those terrible knees. Not to mention the media circus that will plague the Giants all season long.

the NL West is easily the worst division in baseball
the dodgers and the giants will compete again this year and the team that wins the division will be easily 3 games over .500
the giants did add zito to their rotation but have not been able to find the spark in the offense
the standing will be this
1. Dodgers
2. Giants
3.Dbacks
4.Padres
5.Rockies
