I STILL REMEMBER THE DAY BEFORE THE MATCH, ALL THE GERMAN NEWSPAPER DECLARED HOW STRONG WAS GERMANY AND INSULTED ITALY ''MAFIA MEN, PIZZA BOYS, STUPID PEOPLE''. I THINK THEY GOT THEIR MEDICINE, GERMS WERE DESTROYED ON THEIR OWN FIELD, BY 2 SHOOTS RIGHT TO THEIR CHIN. GROSSO'S GOAL THEN DELPIERO'S. I SAW MANY GERMS CRYING, WHAT ABOUT THEIR BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS A GUEST COUNTRY???

How much is Steven Gerrard worth? £20m? Frank Lampard, what's he worth? The same? Michael Carrick signed for Manchester United for £15m.

So what price does that put on the head of Stilian Petrov? £6m if you read the press these days.

Established player at Champions League level with more than a few goals there(just like Gerrard and Lampard), veteran of a European final(unlike Lampard), captain of his country and holder of more than a few winners medals.

Given all that, don't you think Petrov is maybe worth more than £10 million?
