Is it because he's almost 80,is it because he actually has a manager he's comfortable with,is it because he doesn't have Bily Martin to hire and fire anymore? One more thing-who's number do the Yankees retire next.Someone who's actually retired right now?

George has become old George. In the game of life, you are a brat until you are 20, graduate to dumb a** until you are 30, become a sheep(bogged down in the struggle of raising kids, paying bills etc.) until you are 55. After the age of 60, you have earned the right to pay no attention to anyone and are down right crabby. This lasts just a few more years until you hit 75, then you are coasting down that slope and forget about being a crab, and just go with the flow. George is going with the flow, and has hired a couple of crabs to help handle the deals. We will miss old George one of these days, and give him a new title after he dies. For some reason, accolades are saved for even the nastiest people for after they die. I am not a Yankee fan, just an observer of life. In about six weeks, I will officially become ...... CRABBY.

Trust me, if they had just lost 4 in a row to the Red Ho's, he wouldn't be mellow, and I don't think he's really all the mellow now either.

Because he is winning. Trust me, he has had plenty to say earlier in the season when we have not been as hot.
