I think it's the most beautiful country in the world. The people are warm and friendly. The culture is so magnetic and vibrant. The cities are alive with passion. It's hard not to want to be a part of it. The mountains and beaches play hosts to clear waters , warm sands and beautiful fauna and flora. It makes one want to praise God and thank Him for placing his hand on the country and blessing it with beauty.

I do believe it is a garden of opportunity. We need to nourish and water the potential. And as with gardens, there are some weeds that needs to be taken out by the roots. South Africa's weeds being crime and AIDS at this point. But I do believe that the people of the Rainbow Nation can do wonders. Just look at the struggles they've already endured. How they rose above it all and claimed their freedom!

I love this country so much it hurts when I speak of it, because I'm not there to be a part of it. I live in Korea and only go home once a year. But the one month I do get to go home refreshes me in such a way that the other 11 months fly by so quickly.

I know what South Africa is like because i live here! I've lived in South Africa my whole life so i KNOW what it is like.

South Africa is a wonderful country! There is so much talent and beauty in South Africa. We have wonderful & friendly people, the animals and wild life is amazing, the food is delicious, the weather is great (although now we are experiencing rain) and we have the best tourist attractions that are a not to miss!!

We do have a government who is completely oblivious to the crime taking place and they are not doing anything about it! If we can sort the crime rate out this country will be almost perfect!

Please dont believe that site that 'Dr Beetroot' gave you about South Africa. He insists on bring down South Africa and hates anybody or anything that concerns South Africa. That site he gave you is false and it comes from rotten.com!

I will admit that I am generally ignorant about South Africa. The perception that had developed based on what little news I have read about the nation is that it is a racially divided country with a crime problem and many people infected with HIV and AIDS.

hi, im an 'ordinary south african', lived there all my life and i love it!!! there is so much to offer, beautiful people and cultures and so much potential. that crime expose site is horrible and insensitive, and only adds further problems to our country by aiming to drive investors away and painting it in a bad light - but that is not what 'ordinary south africans' want the world to know... we want to let people know about all the wonderful things our country does have to offer and that we would like to see things get better (because issues such as crime and HIV/AIDS to exist) but there are better ways to work towards a better future. unfortunately Dr. Beetroot/Keech (whatever he is going by today) is not an 'ordinary south african' but he still feels fit to join the effort of trying to ruin our country's image. but hey, no worries, we know what its really like and if you know if, you cant help loving the place.

It is indeed a beautiful Country that has been allowed to fall into disarray. Life is tough there with high unemployment. an AIDS pandemic and a vicious crime wave. Visit www.crimexposouthafrica.org where you can read the views of ordinary South Africans on what they are exposed to on a daily basis.
