This is one of those excitement killers that will eventually kill baseball. I don't really care about how the managers want to be appreciated for their strategy; give them a chess set and let them sit in the locker room instead of bringing the game to a dead stop. As a fan of the home team, I'd rather face the music of having a slugger beat us than this wimpy IW. Besides, isn't it a lot more fun if your pitcher gets him out--achieving something rather than weaseling out of it?

He will have to strap on his helmut and be able to take full contact putting much strain on broken areas. The reports seem too optimistic.

These come as a pair, you can't choose no other way. It's either to start off your franchise team to build a dynasty. John Elway and Barry Sanders or Joe Montana and Jerry Rice! All four are legends in their positions. However, you're keeping this team for some years and later you can always make trades to get better players and draft picks to add around your franchise players. Whose your franchise duo? I know Elway never played on the same team as Sanders but Sanders always needed someone extra as well to get him there! Super Bowl. This is tough I know, I made it tough for you guys to decide.

Sometimes a card is given for barely touching...other times a player is clobbered and no whistle...

Shouldn't the level of officiating be as high as the level of competition?

Just now Pavel Nedved ran over Essian and Essian got the card? Makes no sense.
