Will the Mets plunder in standings in September?

like the mets always are, they will slow down significantly right after the all-star break, but they SHOULD hold on to win division, winning a significant number of games in september.

I believe that the Mets, Phillies, and Braves are all going to be in competition for the final playoff spot. I think how the Mets do in September depends on the kinds of moves they make before they get there. I just was watching the pregame show for the Fox game of the week, and they're said to be shopping Steve Trachsel for bullpen help. They do need to be able to find help to bridge the gap to their closer...who is still one of the best in the game.

I believe they will be at worst a wild card team because the Braves always seem to put everything together at the right time of the season to win their division.

I'd like to see the Mets win, and end the Braves reign of the National League East. It'd be even better if the Phillies could string together a good run and knock the Braves completely out of the playoffs, but I don't know if they can do that.

Ah, yes!! The mighty Mets who cave in at the end every time they have a chance to win their division. Yet again this year even with a huge lead at this point, they will find a way to fold. Another sad story from New York.

Thing is the NL Least won't mean much in the big picture of things. Just like the Braves the Mets will get their faces pushed in when they reach the playoffs

I think the standings in their division will end up being a lot closer than people are thinking but I think the Mets will pull through and win the NL East.Some people think they have already pretty much won it but I don't agree.It could end up being close.
