Isn't it kind of funny that even though some people debate over whether God is male or female, everyone almost always seem to universally agree that the Devil is male?

I wonder why that is?

A. "He . . . hangeth the earth upon nothing." Job 26:7. This scientific fact is from Job, the Bible's oldest book.
B. "He . . . sitteth upon the circle of the earth." Isaiah 40:22. The Bible said the earth is round centuries before man found out.
C. "To make the weight for the winds." Job 28:25. Long before scientists knew, God said air has weight.
D. "By Him [Jesus] all things consist." Colossians 1:17. The word "consist" here literally means "hold together" or "cohere." Many Bible translations put it "hold together." This is the answer to the nuclear physicists' worrisome question about the atom. The real mystery of the atom does not involve its benumbing mega-power, but rather, "Why doesn't the atom fly apart?" Scientific knowledge says it should, but it doesn't. Some scientists are wondering what puzzling power, completely unknown to them, is holding it together. The Bible says that mysterious power is the Creator, God Himself.

I have been a total cold hearted b'itch tonight.

I am so sorry. I was wrong to be so hateful and angry. I won't ask for forgiveness, because I don't deserve it, but I promise to try to be more tolerant and understanding of our differences in the future.

Goodnight and I wish you all a Happy New Year

"4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch."

That is the first mention of her. Did she just appear out of nowhere? Did she have parents? Who were the parents? Why do they not hold the importance that Adam and Eve do? It seems like Christians would have figured this out since she does have about 6.5 billion living descendants.

I'm looking to understand why some pagans worship Odin...

Why is Odin your god?
What did he do to merit devotion?
What does he teach you to do?
Do you think he is the God of Gods... or is there another greater than he?
Why is Odin-worship a good thing?

when you say that it's a forgivable sin, does that mean you're forgiven automatically or do you need an effort to it?
unintentional sins aren't considered as sins?

My husband is a church leader in the music department and his mistress is leading praise and worship and I told someone in leadership, the pastor's secretary and they are still in place. I refuse to continue to attend because the church continues to let them remain in position. He told me he doe's not love me anymore and made a mistake to have married me and feels that he is justified to do as he pleases because of this, and yes we are still married and living in the same house and no papers have been filed. What is your opinion as far as should I take further action or let it be and find another church.

What makes abortion or gay marriage any worth more legislating than any other sin that is legal like pornography, fornication, or lying? Isn't a sin a sin because they all make you deserving of hell? Not having gay marriage isn't going to stop people from commiting sexual sins or stop sin in general. If religion can be used as legal justification for laws, then maybe eating pork should be illegal because it offends jews and muslims. There's no evidence that even a single person changed their ways due to christians trying to legislate their religious views, but political activism has turned millions of people off from christianity. Isn't the job of christians supposed to be preaching the gospel and letting people voluntarily chose whether they want to accept it a lot, not trying to force people into a straightjacket by legislating their lifestyle. Change is only meaningful when it comes from the heart as a result of faith anyway. Activism only makes the other side more militant.

There is this agnostic kid in a class of mine at school, and i have not been able to gain any ground with him, unlike some of the Atheists there. Is it just me, or are agnostics harder to convert than Atheists?

ex: God slaps an atheist. the atheists says that he does not exist. God slaps him again, and he says okay I give.

God slaps an agnostic. he says that may have been God, but i'm not sure. God slaps him again, and the agnostic says that he can not be 100% sure if it was God.

more influential today than the Roman Catholic Church is?

This is not a question of if you believe in God or not, it is a question of factual historical probability. What do you think would have happened if the Turks had lost and Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire did not dissolve?

I am asking this is both History and R&S to see the differences in answers.

I do not thumb down unless you are rude and cruel other wise I thumb up or not at all.

Thanks for your opinions.
