Yep. That's why I don't celebrate it. I knew it and I am glad. I would not want to be invloved in false worship. That would be terrible.

The appendix in 'What Does the Bible really teach?' book has alot of infromation. "New Year's Day" is just another pegan celebration.

Did you know the first day of the year used to be April 1? Anyone that celebrated it after it was changed to January 1 was an April fool. Hence the tradition.

Yup, New Years like Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox etc. where co-opted by christians in The Great Pagan Festival Grab of the middle ages...

It's alot like the Great Land Grabs that happened years later when settlers took the American Indian lands and put them on reservations...
