Before I type anything else, this post is not meant to start a debate or conflict. So if you are one of those type of people, don't start no stuff won't be no stuff.

I am just happy in Jesus. There is no other way I can put it, Jesus has just blessed me so much and I am so thankful for his love, his grace, his mercy, his time. I'm not just thankful because of this Thanksgiving season, I'm thankful year round because GOD is good year round. He woke me up this morning, I was in my right mind. He started me on my way I am so grateful for him doing that for me.

Many surveys have been taken and have shown that most of our scientist are atheists. It has also been shown that the higher IQ individuals usually don't believe in god. Ironic how we overcome the standards set by society when we educate ourselves. Why don't you try educating yourself:

...they were SINNERS! I knew I was not because I had not done anything. I greatly resented being told that and told my parents, I did not like the Preacher. It was then explained that we were all born as SINNERS. That was not understandable either. That episode alone led me on the path of becoming a committed Atheist. Over the years with much reading and study I am also a proud and happy Atheist. Did accusations such as that effect any of you?

they are discussing how when a Muslim man dies, he will see the "72 virgin women who are so beautiful, that you will want to just stare at them for 40 years straight .... etc...

1. Will there also be 72 hot virgin men when a Muslim woman dies?
2. Where did they come up with "72" ...
and
3. Isn't putting the emphasis on just "good looks" and beauty sending the wrong message...?

seriously. so much time is spent keeping homosexuals out of the church, why cant that time be spent keeping child molesters and sexual predators out? dont you think the time spent hating gays could be put toward better uses?

there was even a story from a couple months ago of multiple molestations in a church. and there was this incident where a couple of girls (11 and 12) played a trick on their youth teacher, they put shaving cream on the ladies door handles (to her car) and in her purse and some other stuff. well she took some car oil and poured it on the kids, the kids thought it was water so they had their eyes open and looking up at her as she poured it on them.

what in the world is wrong with christians. (i know this isnt all christians but how can such a loving religion produce such people?)

Why does the R&S Spell Checker go nuts when you check the spelling of "proven" which is the past tense and the past participle of "prove". Doesn't R&S like logic, reasoning, and proof?

In my life, I have been to the alter to be 'saved' twice. Once when I was very young, 16 and then again during a period of deep depression 5 years ago. Even so, I was still what you would call a "liberal Christian". Thank God.

I have since learned a great deal and I don't buy into that any more.



I am just curious what you all have to say.

I do not fear the biblical god.

It will be interesting to see if you agree with each other or not.

if all religious holidays that are also federal holidays became normal operating days, but you were given an equivelent amount of days off for vacation...

personally I'd love an extra week or 2 in the middle of summer, i'd give up christmas, easter, and thanksgiving as a trade...

Thats more time for me to ride my motorcycle with my friends, or pick up girls on the strip in my dune-buggy...

God is real because if he wasn't science wouldn't exist...Nothing would stay the same ever. Things would constantly change and no law could ever be determined as absolute. Why is it that all things can change, except the fundamental laws of science? C.S. Lewis:

So, did he say this because he was genuinely stupid, or because it makes Christians feel more secure?

Christians, whether consciously or subconsciously know that no atheist (in the U.S.) would say Christianity is of no importance... so what was going through this man's head?
