God is real because if he wasn't science wouldn't exist...Nothing would stay the same ever. Things would constantly change and no law could ever be determined as absolute. Why is it that all things can change, except the fundamental laws of science? This makes no sense, and there is definately no scientific explanation for why these certain things must have laws...Many secular scientists notice the irreducible complexity in all living things...How long until the credit for this design is given to an all powerful and almighty GOD. That God is the GOD of the BIBLE! Jesus Christ came to this earth, by a virgin birth, to live a perfect life and to save this fallen world from the result of SIN eternal damnation. In order to save an unperfect world, a perfect sacrifice had to be made. The one and only SON of GOD was this sacrifice. Repent and turn from your humanistic views, what your following is BLIND FAITH...Trust in the TRUTH, JESUS CHRIST and you may be set free from Satan's choke hold!

OK I thank everyone for your answers...Why didn't Jesus design the computers? They only hinder us! How do you know the earth is billions of years old? If it was then it wouldn't be here! Why don't you go look up some info. on the magnetic field that is deteriorating at a fast rate...In the time that Genetics have been studied there has been no addition of NEW info. Why is this? The brain that give you the ability to contain knowledge is the most powerful computer on earth! We just don't exercise our brains enough, but while the computer is a great device, it can't exist on its own! Everyone of you tried to bash my FAITH in anger! I'm guessing someone has hurt you that claimed to be a Christian. I was in the same boat at one time. I know all of the arguments you use. You are given a choice to Follow Christ and GOD or walk away. If I am wrong no harm no foul! If you are wrong all harm all foul. Your ALL In My Prayers May God Bless You & OPEN YOUR EYES TO HIS WORD THAT STANDS FOREVER!

The laws are not decided and enforced like the legal ones we have. They are an effect of existence.
For something to exist, it must exist as something. That something will have specific qualities. In a world without God, staffs remain staffs because they have a nature. In a God world, staffs may turn to snakes at any moment.

There are law givers. They are scientists who are highly esteemed in their specialized fields and capable of making rational conclusions.
How does the constance of scientific principles (survival of the fittest for instance) point to the existence of an invisible sky deity? Am I missing something?
If you want to believe in a two-thousand year old narcotics-induced rant which advocates decapitation and stoning to death non-virgin child brides and whose authors were incapable of calculating pi, go right ahead; it's your life to waste. But don't stick your nose into common-sense affairs such as science. If it was up to people like you, no one would know that the earth is not flat or that it is not the center of the universe.

First of all, everything DOES constantly change. There are some absolutes, yes, but they are the starting points. Why do you think that there are so many scientific theories or terms around? Because based on the starting point, things change/evolve and become new things that deserve a new name.
Just like breeds of dogs. When you cross two different breeds, you get a new one and it gets a name...though that is usually mutt, but same concept.
As for those starting points, they too were changed constantly and science is working on also finding THEIR starting points based on new information and study.....
So, as far as RULES, there are none...especially in science. I am sorry, but you chose a bad subject to compare.

You've horribly misunderstood the concept of a scientific law. A law is not some rule set down somewhere. A scientific law is only our observations of how the universe works. If we find something that violates a scientific law, it doesn't mean it'll be arrested by the science police. It means that the law is invalid.

I have a flash for ya. NOTHING stays the same. EVERYTHING is in a constant state of change and evolution.
The "laws" of science are based on current truths applicable through research.
The "laws" of some god thingie is based on stories written by old men who have been dead for thousands of years....and have not left any tangible evidence that their stories are true. In addition, nothing has been presented in the current era (the last several hundred years) to prove the existence of the god thingie...nothing, zip, nada, -0-......

And why must there be any kind of 'law giver'? The laws of nature are such because of the physical properties of our planet, this solar system, this universe. All of which have developed over billions of years. There was never any need for some all powerful, invisible being to magically place them into effect.

Ok, how exactly do you make the leap to a god -- specifically to YOUR god -- simply based on the fact that there are constants in the universe? Even if logic DID dictate that physical laws equate to the existence of a god (which is absurd), how does it automatically equate to YOUR god? I think Zeus or Quetzalcoatl are just as capable of creating order in the universe as Yahweh.

What does the virgin birth and all that mythology have to do with there being a "law giver" to science.
Is there a complex entity ruling the cosmos? Who knows? Is it Jesus with his blue eyes and white skin watching you 24/7? No, not at all.

natural laws occur naturally, that is why they are called 'natural laws'. natural law occurs every where, even in space. real scientists are open to the possibility that what is taken as true today may not be true tomorrow if evidence proves a mistake in current beliefs.
christianity cannot prove its 'truth'.
the universe will exist long after man has faded away.

Science is "blind faith?"
You wanna try testing some of those laws?
Like walking off a building to test gravity?
