Did you know that MOST of our educated scientist are atheists?

Question

Many surveys have been taken and have shown that most of our scientist are atheists. It has also been shown that the higher IQ individuals usually don't believe in god. Ironic how we overcome the standards set by society when we educate ourselves. Why don't you try educating yourself:

it is an invariant throughout history that education, wealth, social success are all inversely proportional to a strong religious conviction.

religion is a coping stratagem for failure. people who are not failures don't need it.

What does that prove? Many people, even in ancient times, refused to believe in God without proof of His existence. Just as it's harder for a rich person to get into heaven because of his or her self-sufficiency, it is harder for highly educated people to believe in God because they think there has to be some sort of scientific proof of the existence of God.

The intelligence level of a person doesn't necessarily correlate with that person's level of faith, and I would dare say that not all scientists are above average in intelligence.

By nature of the field of work they have chosen, there would be a higher incidence of atheists among the science population. It would be news if it weren't.

Did you know that MOST of the American scientists surveyed have eaten pickles with the past 60 days? (I just made that up to show how silly it is to try to win an argument using statistics).

As a scientist and an atheist, I must point out that most of the surveys that have the findings you mention are worthless. They're mostly mail or email type surveys. I've actually yet to see a single good survey done and I really don't give a sh!t or I'd do it myself.

Many of the studies have been flawed. Most of them take into account all the people that are believers including in third world countries where many times there are no schools. So of course this is going to pull down the scores of believers. When studies have been done in Europe or the U.S. the results are neck and neck.

Pride comes before the fall. No one is that intelligent in that they know it all. The most intelligent folks in the world know that they have a lot to learn yet. The dumbest ones will not admit it.
