would you be opposed to more vacation time?

Question

if all religious holidays that are also federal holidays became normal operating days, but you were given an equivelent amount of days off for vacation...

personally I'd love an extra week or 2 in the middle of summer, i'd give up christmas, easter, and thanksgiving as a trade...

Thats more time for me to ride my motorcycle with my friends, or pick up girls on the strip in my dune-buggy...

I would still choose time off around the Winter Solstice...and the other pagan holidays the Xians tried to steal and pass off as their own. It is based on astrological events so I'm OK with the vacation times we have right now,.

Personally I would not prefer that. Even though I am not of the religion that celebrates Christmas and Easter I do enjoy the time off to spend with my family. Christmas and Easter dinner are two great times. And Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite ever (my family is middle-eastern and it is only during Thanksgiving dinner that we make some of our traditional foods I love it). My company already gives me a good amount of vacation/PTO time to use during the year whenever I want it and while I feel like I deserve more I am happy with what I have.

thats obnoxious as most americans would just pick x mas again anyways and since there wasnt enough people, stuff would close, now how about we copy the germans and require four weeks paid vaction a year anyways
