Calvinism takes SUCH a worthless view of Man that it affirms "Total Depravity," i.e. the total inability to even look to God for salvation. It is God who must come to the rescue. Mankind, since the fall of Adam, carries "Original Sin" so that even babies are under a federal representation of Adam, guilty and deserving of Hell. No one gets to escape this condition of their own ability. And this explains a covenant of baptism, replacing circumcision and marking out the family as being God's property. Calvinists consider themselves as sinners, saved by grace alone.

Christianity, people can see and possibly hear "without god we are nothing we need him he's the only one that can give us morals" then turn around and be holler than though on wings... Seems to be a self esteem problem for putting too much faith in their deity. I would suggest they seek a shrink about that then again that shrink might be the same way.

Virtually every expression of Middle Eastern religion, from Judaism to Christianity to Islam, is predicated upon the unworthiness of man in regards to deity.

Honestly, I don't know what got them all so down on themselves.

In heathenry, we like to say that our godhs may not be perfect, or even immortal, but they are OUR godhs, and we . . . are good enough for them.

All. Isn't that the first process of any cult? To establish a feeling of self loathing, hate, and worthlessness among it's converts?

I know that it is not Christianity. While Christianity has sin as a major part, the focus is how Christ sacrificed himself so that we could be free of sin return to God. The point is the redemption of man, not that man is sinful but how we can become clean. Also, man is obviously not worthless because God himself died for man. So man is apparently worth a whole lot to God in Christianity.
