'For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.' Galatians 5:6

Isn't this another example of tradition gone wrong?

Either the Bible doesn't mean what it says or there is a deceiving double standard!

Gen 22:1 - KJV
And it came to pass after these things, that GOD DID TEMPT Abraham, and said unto him...

Abraham actually fell under God's temptation! Abraham was all set IN HIS HEART to sacrifice Isaac. In fact, the blade of his sharp knife was just about to slice his son's throat when he was stopped! He was obviously doing it without any remorse or any tears! Christians know that God accepts human burnt offerings like Jephthah's daughter, too - Judges 11

Abraham and Jephthah are among the top Heroes of the Faith in the NT - Hebrews 11

Jesus said that anyone coming up with an impure thought in his/her heart is just as bad as having it done!

God always forbid sacrificing to Moloch, but he doesn't mind getting some himself!

I know that Christians abhor human sacrifices, but God is on record tempting and freely receiving them!

Don't look, but I'm confused and you should, too!

OF COURSE WE CAME FROM MONKEYS!!!

The sister group of the apes is the Old World monkeys. The common ancestor of apes and Old World monkeys was a monkey.

And don't say "We came from a common ancestor" without specifying what sort of creature we had this ancestor in common with.

The common ancestor of humans and apes was an ape.

The common ancestor of humans and monkeys was a monkey.

The common ancestor of humans and fish was a fish.

Got it?

Since the Jewish bible says he's a jealous God, shouldn't he practice some dignity and cast himself out for violating his own laws?

I don't mean religiously...I mean like if someone said they would meet you somewhere at a certain time...would you believe them without proof? I know...that's a stretch...but I couldn't think of another example. I'm not putting you down....just curious.

Wolf asked him how he felt about Homosexuality and Homosexual marriages. Joel first stated that he believed that God wants a man to marry a woman and Joel feels that is how God created us. Wolf asked him how he felt about homosexuals claiming that they were born homoseuxal. Joel responded that he wasn't sure about all that and just didn't understand it enough to comment. Say What? Then in regards to homosexuals wanting to have the same marriage privilages as other married couples Joel again states he wasn't sure about that and just didn't understand the issue enough to comment on that as well. Uh say what again? Joel just stated before those questions he believed God's intensions was for a man to marry a woman and we were created this way. Seems to me he UNDERSTANDS PERFECTLY......but hey I understand he wants to be POLITICALLY CORRECT. I myself, rather will be Biblically correct and stand. Shame on you Joel. Anybody else care to comment on this?

My boyfriend is in college and taking a religion class and in it he learned that in the Catholic religion you have to get married or you go to Hell. I am Catholic and have never heard of this but is it true? I pay attention all the time in church and in my Sunday school classes and I am thinking that maybe they just didnt tell us this. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I would think that it is since it was in his religion class but I was just wondering.

I think the Catholic Jesus has more Super Hero qualities and the Protestant Jesus just looks angry. The Mormon Jesus would make a good business man and I don't want to get my account suspended by ragging on the Jehovah's Witness Jesus.

if evolution is real why arent people giving birth to monkeys?

Isnt that like asking why arent alligators giving birth to dinosaurs?

The fact that u are even asking that shows how ignorant you are to other peoples beliefs. The fact that u would even ask that shows u really dont understand what evolution is.

So why dont u try to fully understand someone’s beliefs before u start to ridicule them for it...

So please dont ask that question again until u have opened a science book and can ask an intelligent question.

Hello,
I want opinions here. I want an honest answer on the credibility of the religion Jehovahs Witness. Do you guys think that Jehovah Witness religion is legit or not. Reason I am asking is because my girlfriend follows that religion, she wants me to follow it. I've heard some negative things about them. I was raised a catholic, I do not follow it at all times (meaning I do not go to church every Sunday). Can you guys help me out, I am trying to decide if that's the way to go.
thanks,
Art

Well, born into a CofE family, brought up with no particular faith I am in turmoil. Having spoken to Muslims, Christians, Jews and a few others like Jehovahs Witnesses, which religion will assure me of my place in Heaven?

They all seem to claim to be the only true path to the one true God, how can I be sure I'm not going to Hell by being a Christian, or Jew, or Muslim, or Bhuddist etc. etc.

Someone please save me from eternal damnation...
