Recently someone mentioned the Cherokee/Shawnee indians were likely one of the Lost Tribes of Dan which piqued my interest since I am of both Cherokee and Shawnee ancestry. I've never heard this before, although I do recall some reference to the tribe of Dan in the Bible.

The first link I brought up claims that Bible prophecies point to the Anti-Christ being from the lost tribe of Dan! http://www.watch.pair.com/dan.html

I'd like something a little more reliable, so if there is anyone out here in Y! land who has studied this, I hope you'll provide some further reading recommendations.

Every day, we read here, "Jesus doesn't like gays", or "Jesus would have smoked weed".

I've yet to read anyone make a comment like, "Jesus didn't like gays, but I have no problem with them". I've always found it interesting that both God and Jesus have the exact same political viewpoints as those Christians who are expressing their opinion about their own political viewpoints.

How come people who are religious are so closed minded and judgemental? I don't understand that. Why can't they live their life style and not worry about other people not having the same ideas as they do? This is a real question for people who are closed minded. I am really intrested in knowing why you act this way.

Non believers obviously have a chip on their shoulder. If the Lord teaches to love and believe, how does that affect you? I'm not talking about people who interpret Love with kill anyone who doesnt believe or go off and do what they want in the name of God. What has the idea of one God, our Lord, telling us pretty basic stuff like treating others as we would like to be treated done to you? I didn't know the Bible was a trap of sorts. It "takes away your freedom" Well, I hate to break it to you, but you aren't free. You have free will, but you will always be a slave to your job, to your car, to your house, to your bills, to a society without any pity for how you end up. A culture that could care less whether you die or not. Why even bother if that's all you have? YOU ARE NOT FREE. That's a very bleak outlook on life and rather sad. Pay attention to the differences between believers and non believers responses. They speak for themselves.

You say mary was without sin but the Bible tells us in romans 3:23 'for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD', it doesn't say 'everyone except mary'. And don't say the catholics wrote the Bible because that removes all doubt as to your intelligence.

How can you define a mature Christian? Does time or experience play a part?

Can you be a "babe/infant" in the Lord, and become a mature Christian quickly.

to lose faith in one's self or to lose faith in god? all to often i see beggers holding up signs asking for money, usually with some sort of religious sign off, i.e. "god bless" or "jesus loves you". at least by the signs they carry, i would assume they are religious. so i wonder what put them on the streets. was it a losing of their faith in god or in themselves?

Being that it's Halloween, there have been a lot of shows on tv about places and house being haunted. My husband is a sceptic and makes fun of me for watching the shows even though I'm so freaked out about it! ;) lol I can't help it. I'm just curious. I do get scared easily because I have a wild imagination that I let run sometimes. :) I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything they can't explain in their house? Also, I've heard that children under the age of 12, are open to "paranormal" stuff. When I was little, my mom found me in my room laying down and looking out the window. When she asked what I was doing I said I was "talking to Jesus." I was no more than 3 or 4. Have your children told you about talking to someone or something that wasn't there?

I watch one of it and my computer acting wierd.
My internet explorer was multiplying so i turn off my computer because it was unstopable. It is like a person puting a peace of paper in front of me without stoping. Now it was OK after i turn off my computer. Maybe god dont want me to watch it?
