You are misusing the word "proof".

I want to answer this realistically....for those people who have tried to read the Bible and didnt 'get it' it was probably not enough. Part of believing the Bible is proof enough is the undeniable impact that it has on your own life. You can deny words...but you cant deny transformation in yourself that the BIble brings about. Having faith..and feeling the Holy Spirit are personal affirmations that solidify your belief, making the Bible proof enough. It can surely stand alone but thankfully God inspired such a work, that we become living breathing examples/testimonies of its Truth.
To say 'the Bible says God will heal your heart' is debatable. To stand up and say 'I used to be a horribly vengeful person and one day I prayed for God to remove it and its gone and I have no hate in my heart now'...is not debatable unless you also deny the person's personal experience and testimony. The challenge is that for that person who needs proof to believe, they will basically call the person who experienced the change a liar or deluded or disillusioned. They must discount the person as well, or consider that perhaps it was just 'them' who is missing something.

The Bible is proof of what, exactly?
The Bible is a ragbag assortment of legend, genealogy, history and preaching. Most of it was written long after the event. The four gospels contradict each other.
It doesn't prove or disprove anything. It has NOT been verified by external sources. In fact many experts believe that the Israelites didn't suffer slavery in Egypt at all.

No, the Bible only has very limited evidence, i.e. locations and civilizations and many period fiction books can and do have the same sorts of information. As far as evidence for things that the Bible records about God there is no evidence to support them.
So while it may be that Jesus existed, there is no confirming evidence of any of the details, especially of the miracles. The same is true of the old testament events and miracles, no evidence. No creation, no flood, no exodus - therefore no God.
Faith and feelings are nice, but not only are they not evidence they do not change the facts.

Our faith rests on facts, not on feelings.
The Holy Spirit surely can be felt, especially since He is in every believer.
The Bible IS proof, in many ways.
I do agree.

I would think so!All those people didn't just imagine what they wrote. The world was quite different than it is today I think.People weren't so apt to lie and so dumb things like they are today. So I think an ancient book would be more truthfull.Besides I would think it would be impossible to 'make such things up'.
I think all the lip action is from those just trying to be 'herd'.
I feel the Holy Spirit too!Won't go a day with out Him!

NO WAY!!! Proof of what? You mean to tell me that you are satisfied knowing we all have to be good and endure pain to got to heaven? Beleiveing in it is such a waste of life if living like a damn human bieng with good intentions towards those who surround you is not enough. people are born, grow and love only to give birth to the next...all ths crap about who, what, who and how to beleive in some imaginary figure based on some book probably written by the same cavemen who havent evolved even to this day is a bunch of bull to me. And most of it are still ideals from the middle east and I hate how woman are regarded as the villians because some dude cant keep his wee-wee in his pants around her.. then thats their problem. Yeah got carried away....that book is stupid

Proof of what? Religion is a total sham?
Have you actually read the bible? Can you say 'contradictions'? Did you know that many of the stories told in the bible (such as the Jesus and the prostitute story) weren't even in earlier versions of the bible? Ask ANY biblical scholar.

Thank you. The Word is proof enough.
In order to feel the Holy Spirit, you must practice your faith. I am glad you have reached that level.
I confess I don't always feel it, but I know why I don't. That is my fault.

To some people they have faith even without the bible.
That was the case with most of the early believers before the bible even existed.
one of the problems in our world is organized religion.
God never meant for us to build gigantic church buildings and waste our money on them.
If we all stopped wasting money on buildings and took our offerings into charity, we can actually end world hunger with just that much money.
Sadly we are too preoccupied with buying new carpet....
As for proof. bible etc
Holy spirit was meant to be our primary guide, above the bible and above church.
But what really matters?
What matters is FRUIT.
Sadly people would rather waste their time thinking about something else other than trying to think of how they can spend their time wisely and do something good for someone else.
its easier to do things that focus on ourselves.... spiritual growth etc.
but true spiritual growth is the growth of love through actions and deeds... sadly we love to ignore that part of the bible...

The Bible was written by man and is not proof of anything. Faith comes from a true belief in God. We do not need "proof" to support our faith. Faith comes from within. My relationship with God is personal & private. It has nothing to do with what any other man tells me.
