what or who do you believe it is pointing to?

I mean everyday I read an article or watch a TV show that says this happened 50000 years ago or that a star millions of light-years away is doing something or a new evidence says that our hominid ancestors 500,000 years ago use to hunt like this.

How do you cope with all the evidence that challenges your beliefs everyday? Do you just somehow isolate yourself from the real world?

will the human mind be able to process everything at such a level that we no longer need bodies to experience reality?

Please don't say "we won't be here" cause of end times or global warming because people have always been saying that the world will end and I guarantee even without bodies people will say it 300 years from now.

Let's go on the premise that human beings are smart enough to survive a gradual rise in ocean levels...maybe by building cities in the sky like the jetsons duh (why do you think they lived in an apt attached to a giant pole, because it was the fashion of the day?). We can also go ahead and assume God doesn't have a hit out on the planet.

1 Peter 3:21 where Peter states plainly that baptism saves. Many other passages could be cited. A good concordance will help you find them

What about robots with emotions and artificial intelligence?

Would they want it to be required to teach artifical intelligent design in robot high school?

I am doing a project on Harry Potter and I want to include a part with the references to theology that are in the books.
I can see the Christian references, and I know that there are references to the Torah in the books, but I don't have the personal knowledge to identify what those references are.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I will be very grateful.
In fact, I will be extremely grateful if anyone can point out ANY theological references, in any of the books.
Thanks in advance :o)

Don't they believe in the power of prayer? Don't they think god wants their church to have the money? Couldn't they just buy one lottery ticket and all pray real hard that it wins? That way, it would be up to god if they get the money or not. Doesn't putting money in the plate circumvent god's will?

I am a brokn shell, onthis harsh earth in which I dwell.
I sail thru life in my own hell, from my own soul I sin so well.
It's hard for me to love myself so cought up in self hate and death. So how can one such as He truly love me 'til His last breath.
Oh, My Lord I pray to thee, for a I know in my heart the pain you see.
Which weeps so soundlessly, so desperatly in need. On bended knee eyes wide shut so open please hear my pleas.
My lonlyness consumes me likea fire consumes it's fuel. Slowly, ever so slowly, until the darkness is like a tomb.
My sorrow sinks to depth unknown, please don't keep this soul so all alone. bring me home, bring me home. To the heaven above where the garden has grown.
from my struggles I'm a broken shell, am I the cause of me own hell. I can't tell because I feel I've failed until a mission as placed in the path in which i dwell.
I stop fighting and I cease to struggle. There is no more pain for God has done away with all my trouble.

I'm thinking about the ancient greeks. When the christians took over europe and burned the library at Alexandria, western civilization was set back 1000 years. In fact, it was the rediscovery of ancient greek texts that set off the enlightenment, which religion fought vicously all the way.

Are we in danger of another "dark ages" (which I think would be better called "the age of christianity")? These are people's core beliefs. If people can believe in fairy tales, can they be led to believe anything, no matter how delusional?

Should the government should actively fight delusional thinking by people? Should schools teach athieism, to counter-act the teachings recieved by churches?

Does this video frighten you?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKUoxbR9mwA

Just remember, these are the "moderate" Muslims who are living in the UK.

While this video may have some bias, I still wonder about the future of Europe? What will happen to my Christian relatives if THEY take over?

And why are they preaching death against Europe?

Because someone drew little immature cartoons about Islam.

Do YOU support the bombing of Denmark?

...it's been driving me NUTS for months! I had it on 8 track tape, it was in the late 70's. It was on the Book of Acts and started out:
"The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach" just like the book of Acts does.

It had a song I think called "On the Road to Emaus" and many others. I have asked MANY people and have been looking for it and no one can tell me what it was called or where to find it.
I think it was called something like "Firefall" or something of the sort, but I am desperately trying to locate a copy. Any one have any ideas?
