Yes, I did. But that isn't what makes this religion a cult. It is because they don't believe that Christ paid for ALL sins on the cross, they believe he and Joseph Smith are equal, they practice polygomy which Paul condemned, and most of all, they believe that God was once a man and that when they die they will become Gods. Joseph Smith said this:
"As Man Now Is, God Once Was;
And As God Now Is, Man May Become."
The holy undergarments are like a lucky charm to gain extra protection from God just as other religions have their holy medalians.
To LDS Mom - Comparing yourself to another false religion that does the same doesn't give your religion credibility.
I don't mean to down Mormons, just speak the truth with love.

I take it you either glanced at the site and made your statement on this or you did not even read anything in the site itself. I do consider the garments to be very special, because of the honor of wearing them. This article of clothing is reminder of the promises I made in one of God's holy temples. If I break even one promise, then I will have to live with that guilt until I confess to the proper authority (my bishop) of this mistake. I will then be subject to either his determining of how serious this trangression is and if a church court should be convened. Then it would be up to this court to determine three things; probation, which is usually determined by the bishop and then accepted by the stake president. I will still be allowed to stay on as a member, but I won't be able to wear the garments for at least six months or partake of the sacrament and hold no callings. Then after six months have passed, I will again be interviewed by the bishop and also by the stake president if I had abstained from repeating the sin. If I truthfully have abstained, then they will take me off this punishment and I will again be able to partake of the sacrament, wear the sacred garments, and hold a calling in the church.
The two punishments that are determined by the church court are disfellowship and excommunication. Disfellowship is a punishment that like probation lasts at least a year or more. This occurs if the sin is serious enough to warrant it or that the sinner has repeated his past mistake. Excommunication simply means that he or she is no longer a member and has to rebaptized and reconfermed in order to be a member of the church. This also will take at least a year or so. Excommunication is not the end your chance at salvation. The only ways of being denied salvation is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost and murder. Murderers actually will only attain the telestial kingdom, the lowest of the three heavenly kingdoms in heaven. Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is the one that will keep you out of all the kingdoms and you will be placed along with Satan into outer darkness when the great judgement comes. Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is calling him a liar. It is like looking at the sun and saying that is not real. The Holy Ghost has the perfect knowledge of the divinity of Jesus Christ. We take the wearing of our garments very seriously as priests and nuns take what they wear very seriously.

With all due respect, my sister in Christ, have you examined your motive for posting this? Is is possible that there's a bit of arrogance and unseemly pride in signing off with a flourish that you are *a Christian* when all you've done is post a slam at someone else's beliefs because they don't line up with yours? One wonders if you will go on to deride similar practices elsewhere; scapulars, perhaps, among Catholics? The coverings of Muslim women?
I'm sorry, you are entitled to your opinion about all of it, but it's my guess that statements like this do not exactly endear Christians -- and by association, Christ -- to those who do not know Him and may read this. I fail to see how making this egregious comment edifies anyone, but I certainly do see that the attitude behind it could render your witness ineffective.
Edit: Welcome to the world of smug self-righteousness -- where telling someone their religion is "false" is considered a loving thing to do. Spare me such "love". I know that my Redeemer lives.

Really? Well what kind of underwear do you wear?
Yeah I bet you don't want to discuss your underwear on here. So why is it appropriate for to Discuss the underwear worn by LDS people?
BTW this question is really old and annoying.
I second the Princess' answer.

Is it any different than muslim woman wearing special clothing over their clothes? Religious or traditional clothing is not exactly a new thing.
Can you please tell me when God came down and proclaimed you a prophet?
What a christian you are. Man I wish I was more like you, condemning and mocking others. I should quit the mormon church now and start going to your church where I can learn to disrespect and hate on other people.

We're false because of our underwear?
You can't find ANYthing else?
Have you ever looked at it from our POV? WHY we do the things we do?
You should read this site here more carefully.

i'm not mormon but i understand the concept. separated from ordinary clothing and clothe made from manufacturers in the world.
it reminds them to live a separated life. and not be like the world.
i think that its a good idea. if it works.... whatever floats your boat.
